Nicole, your post reminded me of something that happened 20 years ago that still makes me laugh to this day. Every time I asked my oldest grandson (now 23) for a kiss, he would lean in for it and at the last second he would stick out his tongue and touch my lips. When I’d pull back and looked at him with eyes wide, he laughed hysterically. Every request for a kiss turned out the same. One day I decided turnabout was fair play and reversed the game. When he came in for the kiss, I stuck my tongue out. He looked at me, opened his mouth and said, “You licked my lick!” And then we both laughed!

Jasdip, when DH was in Australia on business and I joined him after, we had an "air pass" to travel around, so we flew to Perth just to see the quokkas on Rottnest Island. So cute!

Don't think I have ever seen a quokka before but they could be in the running for my all time cutest animal, a position now currently occupied by red pandas!

Katain's post reminded me of something that actually happened a couple of weeks ago. We were in the car, listening to a podcast, when the narrator said she had to "call 911." Suddenly the podcast cut off and my phone rang. It was the 911 operator asking if there was an emergency! Our devices really are listening...

Lucille, red pandas are a different species to the giant (black and white) pandas. Red pandas are much smaller and are orangey-red and white.

I love quokkas, we have often visited Rottnest. Quokkas are very friendly and not very afraid of people. When we have stayed in holiday cottages on Torrnest, often if we left the door open, the quokkas would come in for a "visit". If you think they're cute, their babies are adorable and are carried in a pouch on the mother's tummy like a kangaroo, as quokkas are also marsupials. They're about the size of a cat.
