Bare Wall Decoration Help

Hello, I need help in deciding on how to decorate the wall around my t.v. and hide the cords. My living room is gray, white, black and red.

Can you remove the brick hearth. Then you can add a console on the floor that's almost the full length of the wall to hide cords.

what you really need is a console to fit the size of that wall and the tv. what you currently have is far too small. (and, if you can mount the tv to the wall, even better)

Any of these options would look way better

and, what is with that brick hearth? is there a fireplace there or what?

I can't conceive of a "farmhouse" bedroom with a matching set of big box store pieces. The trick now is to lose that matched feeling. Could you be comfortable painting the bedside tables and replacing the mirror with a more antique or primitive feeling one? Adding quilts and braided rugs could enhance the farmhouse vibe you want. Did you forgo the window trim due to budget? That's another typical item you could address.

Art is very personal and should be chosen on the basis of what really speaks to you, and for lasting pleasure genuine oil paintings/watercolors/acrylics are much more satisfying than prints. I've found a lot of nice things on e-bay, and those offered by the artist are often less expensive than dealers. You might consider larger pieces on each side of the fireplace and put together a grouping of smaller pieces of what appeals to you on the longer white wall. In a grouping there should be some kind of common thread that ties them together whether it's type of art, similar framing, size etc., although it's fun to mix things up a little. A good way to style them is to lay all your pieces out on the floor and play around with them until you find a satisfying composition. For the art on the blue wall bigger is always better.

Here are two framed giclee prints from allposter.com. The first Composition VII, 1913 by Wassily Kandinsky. The second is "The Gold of the Azure" by Joan Miro, 1967. I think it is a happy piece. As to colors: poppy floral art and rug - both have orangey- red? you could zing with 3rd orange [glass bowl type thing]. The entertainment center is way to small. I think until you fix this it will never look right..Plus it will help hid the cords. Some great examples have been posted. I am a bit confused on what is on the floor in front of your console.

I'm in a rental and can't mount my t.v. I opt to put a entertainment center on top of the fireplace. The fireplace doesn't work. There isn't anywhere else to put it without the seating being off 🤦🏾‍♀️

then get a longer, taller unit that spans about 2/3rds of that wall. if you get something with legs, it should be enough to sit over the brick ok.

check 'credenzas' or media cabinets on wayfair

then do some pictures around it
