Thanks for the input. I wasn't so sure the green and gray worked together. I'm using Kelly Moore Cypress in my bedroom and I think it has more of a beige than gray tint to it. I must say that gray is one of the few colors that looks good next to the golden oak. Will check out your suggestions. One other thing...in another forum people were railing against green in a bathroom, said it makes you look sick or like a monster. :) I have a very large board I painted half beige, half a soft sage (bedroom color). I took it into my bathroom and held it under my chin and facing the lights so that it was reflecting back onto my face. The only difference I could discern between the beige and green was that the beige was ever so slightly more reflective. Unless I'm just used to my monster coloring. ;-) Linelle

your interest really was in the look of the space.....which is valid. Even after accomplishing the switch to a range or that kind of upgrade, one can still be unhappy with their space if every time they walk by or walk into it, the old surfaces jar your nerves and personal aesthetic. But the space really would have me looking at a whole appliance package, and ditto the range on the perimeter concept. Yes-fridge/dishwasher AND range....figure something out with above range microwave or hood with maybe small countertop microwave. And once that "package" got worked through the budget, think about the perimeter in laminate or solid surface and maybe a contrast for the island of quartz or butcher block . I might consider Ikea or a basic butcher block for everywhere-it can be really reasonable....knowing you may do a "gut" remodel later. Just enjoy the wood look, oil it up frequently right away....and just let it take the wear and tear knowing the counters and cabinets will be replaced. I would probably even just leave the painted wall for backsplash....with the decent cabinets and some new hardware and either laminate or wood on counters, and new appliances, you'd be really in a good position for a while.

I think it would be an absolutely lovely color and definitely reassures me it was not a random choice!! I will update with news after I do the cardboard test. Thank you so much again! Ooh! I did forgot and should have posted earlier, but I was thinking of during the living room wall into an accent wall. I don't mind doing something sort of fun or different. The previous owners made this the accent wall and went with a shade lighter so we're considering keeping it an accent wall. If I choose this I might just do a shade lighter or darker of my paint choice. OR! Make this accent wall, on the wall with the door leading to patio. We are planning to swap out curtains and do a french door on that wall so it might make those white doors pop. Kinda of leaning towards this if we go with a 'stronger' color' Which wall is better for the accent wall? Or do neither work well? We were thinking of something like the color of the cabinets in this photo. Too intense? Feel free to suggest other colors.

Simply White has a yellow tone. The tile has an orange tone. If you stick with colors with tones of yellow to orange, no matter how light or gray they are, they will work. 903 Pirates Cove Peach is a near match to the tile. I split the difference in tones between the tile and Simply White, then increased the saturation to get both 176 Goldtone and AF-305 Ylang Ylang from Benjamin Moore. Below is a photo showing all these colors on your wall. I cannot say that my color rendition is exact, nor can I say that your monitor will produce these colors the same way mine does. However, I found the color names for those I produced via an online program called Easy RGB.
