Gray walls, stone couch, can I go with a natural colored carpet?
Comments (13)Looks like the carpet comes in 15 colors, which can be seen HERE Sorry, although I am copying the web page address, it won't take you to that type of rug. Summer Fog is the lightest gray tone - This is Magnolia Bud - Have you ordered the sofa yet? I see that the Pottery Barn sofas can be covered in many neutral fabrics. Perhaps there's another color that would work? PB sofas and fabrics...See MoreSherwin williams gray paint color to go with black and white tile
Comments (1)My DD used Benjamin Moores Stonington Gray but had it mixed in Ace paint. So you can use other manufacturer's color mixed in Sherwin Williams paint. Here's how it looks in a well lit room with dark blue accents. It looks a little darker in my DD's hallway which is a low light area. I recommended the Stonington Gray color to my sister in law and she loves it. She used it in a bathroom with a black and white floor and dark gray vanity. Don't have a picture but it looks great. Another gray that has a great review is Sherwin William's Collanade Gray. Check out this decorators review of it: Collonade Gray...See Morewall color to go with sw repose gray cabinets?
Comments (24)That was a helpful video nhb22 - I think the big question is can this space support light or dark cabinets? If you go light you can do COLOR on the wall. If you do dark cabinets you will want to go LIGHT on the wall (white /no color). If you did seasalt in LR and are happy with it it may need the kitchen area in a light white to balance that / make it all make sense and not be an overload of bluish green colors that are close in tones. I would argue that that dark gray cabinet is NOT a good family member to sea salt walls right near it. Why not stay on the sea salt color flute and go with something like SW Retreat or Pewter Green for the kitchen cabinets? Then you are staying within a family of colors. Origami white on the walls AND the uppers and soffit in the kitchen would compliment the Retreat / Pewter Green color and make the kitchen not too heavy and dark. Check it out....See MoreWhat other colors go with agreeable gray and anew gray?
Comments (2)The concept of selecting neutrals as our main wall color in the major living spaces of our home is that many colors work with the neutrals and can be used as either accent colors in our main living space or main colors in adjoining spaces. Do you have any blues or greens in the adjoining spaces? I think the example below shows how they took accent colors from the living space into bathrooms and bedrooms. It is the same concept - repeat colors throughout to create harmony....See MoreBunny
