Well I have a lg french door 24.7 refrigerator and it's been a joy to own so far. The doors close via hydraulic assist, the led lights actually illuminate every shelf unlike the ge profile with single cluster at the top of the fridge. The ice maker makes ice, never seen it without any ice and we use it every day. Speaking of the ice dispensor I really love the stainless steel switch, other are cheap plastic, and the two bright led lights that actually illuminate the dispensor area so you can actually see your cup. The doors are solid, the ge felt strange and the door handles flexed on it as did the sears units I looked at. I bought mine a hhgregg and also got the 5 year extended warranty just in case but so far the only thing I've done is change a water filter. Speaking of filters lg changed the model to a new upgraded filter so keep that in mind if you want to replace it and don't see the one listed in the manual. I also have to say that lg has been fantastic for me with their steam washer and dryer that I also have, the red units on pedestals with the green led panels. They wash and dry effectively and the led lights in the tub so you can see your laundry at the end of the cycle is a very nice touch. My experience with lg has been very good so far and I would not hessitate to buy another appliance from them. I did however skip their dishwasher in favor of the samsung unit because of the features that the samsung had.

I don't have the same LG model as you are looking for but have an LG 3 door French version that we bought new in July 13. It was a replacement for a 20 year old side-by-side so I admit that I was captivated by the interior lighting and more efficient configuration. However, I would not buy an LG again for these reasons: - ice maker is always jammed; when this happened the first time a few months after purchase, a repair person came out and "fixed" it. The fix lasted for a few weeks and since then has not worked. Seems like this is a known problem. It makes ice but the ice gets stuck and frozen into the dispenser. To remove the clogged ice is a physical effort of pulling and digging and creates a huge mess of crushed ice everywhere. Note that I have diligently followed the tips from the repair person to keep it working, to no avail: avoiding the crushed ice mode and dispensing ice at least once a day. - in less than 3 years I have had to replace a side door compartment and two crisper drawers. These cheap plastic parts crack very easily under normal wear and tear. - the freezer consistently creates frost build up and freezer burn on the food. - getting a repair person from the LG website is a huge hassle. Their website is glitchy and not user friendly at all.

I am leaning towards the Samsung Flex RF28K9380SR in regular stainless steel or the Whirlpool WRV986FDEM in regular stainless steel. (still considering Black Stainless, but I was told that it scratches easily and that the scratches look silver!...) The KitchenAid KRMF706EBS is very similar to the Whirlpool, but is more expensive, and has a very organized, compartmentalized interior. It comes in regular stainless or black stainless and does anyone know if KitchenAid's black stainless is more durable than Samsung or LG? I also think that the Whirlpool or KitchenAid look a little more "boxy" and industrial, compared to the Samsung 4-Door Flex refrigerator which is more streamlined and elegant because it does not have protruding handles.... I really did not like the "platinum" grey interior color of the KitchenAid I saw. Is the Architect Series of KitchenAid refrigerators grey inside? What do you think? Also, what are the other differences between a KitchenAid and Whirlpool model since they look so similar?

Next time plain old stainless and learn how to clean it properly . Any coating has the chance of wearing off . All you needed ever with that coating in a cloth and warm water so I have no idea what you used but there is no way to fix that that I can think of .I have plian old stainless appliances all 16 yrs old in my catering kitchen and still look like new and never used a stsinless cleaner either.
