Color Scheme for Pillows??

Hi Everyone! I am about to take over a lease at a loft and am working on putting stuff I already have together with new things to make the bedroom my own! I think of my style as midcentury modern/bohemian. I have already bought the majority of the pieces, but am having trouble with the finishing touches of the throw pillows and blanket on the bed. The comforter will be white! Attached is a doc of all that I have already for the room. The bedside table I do not have a picture of but the legs are gold and the top is a black granite. Great decor you’ve chosen! It’s going to come together nicely.

Have you done a search yet, such as ‘boho pillows’? I just did and so many great choices came up. Anthropology, Pottery Barn, West Elm, World Market, Etsy ... just a few of the many who carry awesome pillows. I’d go for some fringe, some textured ones, colorful ones, macrame, some neutrals ... and just mix and match for a truly collected look. Your other elements are more crisp and clean mid-century, so I think adding boho-style pillows will really give it the look you’re going for.

This is just a small sampling, there are tons of choices out there. :)

Basically, I’d pull colors from your rug, and bring in texture.

Hi Jinx!! Thank you so much for your insight. Super helpful! I ended up doing what you suggested and going with a boho vibe using pillows from Kaekoo Shop and getting a dusty rose boho looking throw for the end of the bed. I think it’ll go together nicely :) thanks again!!

Avesmor, sorry I have not gotten back to you on your questions. The rounds things on my wall are old stove pipe vents. They were found in walls and on floors for stove pipe to go through to prevent things from getting too hot from the stove pipe. The bedskirt came with the set. I have not been disappointed with this bed set. I love the colors. Can't wait to see what you do with yours. Kim

To all, i apologize for sounding so emotional (my son started kindergarten today). This move was a rough one. We are only here for 11 months and then we will move again, so I feel very disconnected. You are all right...no one has been rude or offensive. It was me. So, let me start over with my vision: The couch and brown leather recliner are staying. I would like to add two accent chairs (with arms and facing the side of the coffee table) with a small accent table in between. We always have company and there is never enough seating. I've always invisioned accent chairs to either have a bold pattern or bold color; however, I'm open to something more neutral with bold accents. I've also planned on buying a large area rug...perhaps the color should come from there). Finally, I need a new coffee table...one that is simple. My esthetic is a mix of old world and French country. So...what style of chair and what color? What kind of coffee table?

I didn't add any color here, but I did clean up your fireplace wall. Remove everything from the mantel. Add a floor lamp in the corner. Looks like you could use some storage for components, so I added a small chest, no higher than the chair rail, on the left. You can get a surface mount wire mold to hold your cables and direct it along the mantel and down the side. I removed the clock. You can keep it if you need it, but lower it. Nothing should hang that high on the wall. New fan and smaller recliner, same as before.
