Kitchen backsplash around deep window

I have a design dilemma concerning where to start and end my subway tile backsplash around the deep window in my kitchen.

As you can see from the photos, there are drywall returns and outside corners around the window and a small drywall area underneath the window behind the sink. This smaller area underneath the window may make continuing my subway tile pattern from the adjacent wall awkward...

My ideas are:

  1. Bring tile up to cabinet level and bring across using bullnose or some sort of trim around the window. Either half tiles and bullnose beneath the window, or bullnose/trim and some sort of accent smaller tile pattern that might fit neater under there.

  2. Same as above, but tile up to the ceiling left and right of window

  3. Tile the entire area including drywall returns and all outside corners. I’m worried this will be a little heavy on the tile and make me feel like I’m in a shower while washing dishes...

If anyone has any thought/opinions/advice I would be appreciative.
