Comments (8)Before starting any reform you should be clear about everything since once you start there is no going back. For example, in a kitchen, the distributions are a bit limited since there you have to respect the exit and entrance of dirty and clean water, also the exit of smoke and the possible columns. Then the furniture, column would be better, white… no… wood… white and wood, now that we make white above and wood below, or vice versa…. Would you like to see the final results before the reform begins? I invite you to enter my Portfolio, and see what I can do with your kitchen, living room, bedroom, etc. Talk to me and together we will make all the changes that you see fit, for a desired end result. Comments (12)do you really like two living zones yet a dining table plopped in the middle of everything...hard to feel segregated and have a quiet dining experience if entertaining or the like...... and fridge adjacent to a "living room" or supposed living room? seems a lot of give away . maybe remove the wall if you want but leave the dining zone where it is. Smaller homes necessarily have to work with one seated eating area and they do their best to use a corner or end of a room so to create a distinct spot. but w your available sq footage I dont get why the dining table has to sit like that . Anyone viewing this home with this sq foot space overall I think would expect a different dining set up. SHOWN: dining zone at end of living room spaces generally.....and any adjacent kitchen wall widening or partial removal would keep the dining zone as a somewhat nicely segregated area....See MoreNeed help on kitchen remodel-
Comments (10)IMO the posts are esential unless you are prepared for the install of a big steel beam . I think it is best to try to ignore the posts as much as possible not make them a focal point. I agre thcabinets need refacing for sure but you do realize that will cost almost as much as new and honestly I would suggest you wait for a tleast 3-6 months before doing anything to that kitchen , I think you could do better for cabinets where all the base ones are drawers and to retro fit is not cheap. I always like to live in a space before doing major changes and that is what i suggest here. Wall color last thing to choose IMO and for sure not before all your stuff is in place . I do not think rustic and white walls are compatible . I like the slate but i sure do not like the TV there . I wpu;d for sure lower that raised bar t all one level it hides nothing unless all the guest are less than 42" tall. That alone will make the kitchen feel different . I do not see rustic in your idea books but a lot ofr eally sleek modern so maybe figure out what you really love and not let a slate FP change your mind.. We have a very relaxed style but not in any way do we call it rustic . This is my kitchen for instance...See Morehelp with kitchen remodel layout
Comments (5)How wide are the following aisles: Range's oven handle to island counter edge? Refrigerator handle to island counter edge? Sink counter edge to island counter edge? Counter edge on the far right wall to island counter edge? Counter edge on the far right wall to the wall the ovens are located on (it appears to stick out past the oven cabinet)? In addition, How deep & wide is the island, including counter overhangs? How deep will the peninsula be, including the seating overhang? The measurements will determine how to answer your questions....See Moreflopsycat1
