Should we paint the interior trim black?

Hello Houzz helpers! We are moving into our new house next month and would like to update the color scheme. We are going for a more contemporary and modern aesthetic and are leaning toward painting the window trim, baseboards,built-in bookcases and crown moulding something dark, perhaps in the black. Do you have any suggestions, cautionary words, or thoughts? I have done a lot of looking on the 'get ideas' part of the site for inspiration but it always great to get advice. To note, the floors are in the process of being refinished and the yellow tint that red oak is showing will be finished to a clearer and natural lighter tone, the red drapes will be replaced with something more complementary and the ceilings are tall; probably 10'. These images are also showing the wall color a bit warmer than they really are due to the light reflection off the floors. They are more of a neutral beige than tan (the last two pictures are from the online images of the house before we bought it) Thanks!
