Anytime I see a news article about upcoming shows for the month on Netflix, there are Zero shows that I want to watch.

Searching Netflix through the app is pretty easy. Put things on your ‘watch list’ and view them anywhere.

Netflix site on your laptop has search features at top left corner. For example, if you choose Movies, a drop down box appears for you to select genres. Same for TV Shows, Latest, My List.

New Arrivals are listed under "Latest"

Michael, that is a very inefficient search method compared to what is offered by other streaming services ;-) Part of the issue is there is just so much in their inventory - most of it not worth watching IMO - you easily get bogged down looking for shows you might like. Why can't they do a simple A-Z?

I get Netflix as part of my cable package so it appears both on my TV and on my computer so I don't need another app to access. They just need to clean up and streamline their presentation.

btw, once you watch something on 'My List', why doesn't it drop off like it does with similar features on other services?

I have no trouble with Netflix but like jasdip rarely see anything which interests me. It all seems too odd, or too violent. I am enjoying PBS Masterpiece programs for the time being (Grantchester now).

just a tip.... If your Netflix ever goes out or you have a black screen, unplug your TV and it will reset it. This will work in some situations.

We joined Netflix two separate times, then dropped it once the program we want to see ended. I don't remember what the first one was; most recent was "The Crown". Each time we look through the offerings and it's, "Saw that decades ago," or "People actually *watch* that?"

We are also running out of stuff to watch on netflix and acorn. Getting ready to sign back up for Britbox, they seem to have some new shows to watch. From what I've read, movie and series productions have been shut down so we probably won't get anything new until 2021/22.

We much enjoy the Netflix interface over BritBox. My wife likes the fact that she's able to pick back up where she left off and not go back to the start of the series and find the next episode. We're about to finish up on BritBox and start an Acorn TV subscription next month.

I'm not big on subscribing to services that I don't use.

DH just told me that Bosch is to begin on Amazon in two weeks. Yes!

I've never used another streaming service, but find it easy enough to delete from My List.

Funny how we all have different impressions of the same things :-) I would give up Netflix long before I gave up BritBox or Acorn. They may have less content than Netflix but the choices are far superior! Even their "dumb" shows are better than most of what Netflix offers. And now that the BBC has pulled all their programming from Netflix, I am even less inclined to watch. But probably won't give it up altogether. They do have a few series worth watching and some films but it's a pain wading through the 80% of cr*p for the puny 20% of shows I would consider watching.

Both BB and Acorn add new shows and new episodes for some existing shows on a weekly basis. And send me an email previewing what's coming. I like that!
