UPS - 2 missed deliveries from Amazon
Comments (16)Amazon knows the value of repeat customers. They know that if they claim it's not their problem, people will be less inclined to buy again from them. They don't want customers to have to deal with the post office because it leaves a negative impression about the whole transaction in their mind and that affects business. They have the mentality that it is their responsibility to get the item to the customer in perfect condition, no matter what it takes. I'm having a similar problem with some items I bought from another company that never showed up. The seller is ignoring me, the post office says it was delivered and i'm out $166. I only wish I had ordered through Amazon because I know I'd have my replacement already. But I know for a fact I will NEVER order from this company again because of their attitude towards the whole thing. While Amazon is not obligated to reship it, it's in their best interest. I know I have personally purchased thousands of dollars of items from Amazon, including Prime membership, because they are such a pleasure to work with. I made a mistake once in not canceling a recurring subscription that I meant to, and when I called to see my options, they not only refunded my money but let me keep the item that was sent to me. Even though it was my fault, they still bent over backwards to make me happy and it was a profitable decision for them because I have had many transactions since with absolutely no problems. And THAT is the difference between good customer service and "sorry, but it's not my problem" mentalities....See MoreFun laundry delivery from Amazon today :)
Comments (24)Jean I'm feeling fine Thanks for asking, but swamped with work here, than I forgot that repairmen were comming for well check on Queenie lol. I had to move a floor shelf and other odds and ends so they could take Queenie apart and take a look see...good news is she passed her well exam with flying colors. I've had her for 7 months now and no build up of anything on washer parts that they could see but I wasnt in there, I wanted to see the pump but didn't get too. They said they generally don't go into the washers this far on a well check but since I had something stuck in the pump a few months ago they wanted to look. they also commented on my detergents...lol and ask if I use powders often, I said yes most of the time, with hot washes..they said that accounted for my like new appearance of the washers insides...I have a load running now just to make sure they didn't damage anything lol...there were 2 men one older one very young, but I had the feeling the way they talked the young guy was in training lol. They also said in a year they will be back for another well check but won't do anything other than watch it fill on mini load and spin and take the front cover off. They only did a full look today because I had a pump issue. No I didn't place my Amazon order yet, I went to bed last night thinking I'd do it today lol...See More“Delivery Check” phone calls
Comments (10)I've not blocked any numbers and I get very few robo calls at home. I used to get them at work, and even there I did not answer if I did not recognize the phone number. Where I live the main area code is 310, but my number has the overlay area code 424. I don't know anyone else who has a 424 number, and so if I get a call that begins with 424, I can be pretty sure it is a robo call. My doctors numbers all have the 310 area code, and frequently when the doctor's office calls, only the number and no name shows up. I will answer 310 calls that I do not recognize for this reason, but I try to put them in my contacts list for future reference. I wish the doctor's offices would put a name in their caller ID. Most robo calls that I get do not leave a message, but if they do, it is usually in Chinese....See MoreAmazon delivery missing
Comments (5)I've seen "handed to a resident" when it wasn't too. I think the times I've seen it was when it was shipped with USPS. Googling the tracking number and viewing the tracking info on the USPS site did not say "handed to a resident". It would usually say something like "left in/at mailbox". Tracking info provided by USPS was correct. The tracking provided by Amazon was incorrect. Amazon's own delivery does provide an image and that is nice. I haven't seen anybody else do that. USPS does, at least here, record GPS coordinates when they scan a package "delivered". I had a package misdelivered once and they were able to see not only that the package was delivered to the wrong address, but to which address it was accidentally delivered to. Personally, I'd probably just use Amazon chat and let them figure it out. They'll likely just send another....See Moresheilajoyce_gw
