Need Some Suggestions
Comments (13)That's true, Irma. I'll have to think on something that does well in shade. Everything I can think of won't retain color in the shade, except variegated ginger, and it's not that tall. There are many beautiful elephant ears, since they do well there. How about some of the "black" ones? There really aren't any colorful shrubs that do well in shade. If you want color, you'll have to settle for some kind of ground cover with something taller in the middle, I think. The variegated oyster plant or variegated ginger would do well there around a giant elephant ear....See MoreNeed some suggestion for a triangular wall in my kitchen
Comments (6)I wouldn't put any "decor" on that wall. The focal point from that spot is the TV? Let the wall be blank. I would be tempted to replace the three small things beside the TV with a larger piece on each side. I'd remove the sign above the kitchen door as well. (I hate to dust and don't need to be reminded to eat. :)) A brighter, lighter colour on your walls might be a good idea but it's hard to say as I know pics and monitors lie about colour....See MoreHelp!!! Need some suggestions on matching kitchen cabinets with walls.
Comments (2)You have a lot of different beige/gray neutrals going on (2 floor colors, counters, backsplash). I would probably go with the color that is on the fireplace wall for the entire space or another gray green and paint the entertainment center Hale Navy. Green is mother natures favorite color. Gray green won't make the beiges go too yellow like a blue gray will and will work with the navy cabinets....See MoreTile grout color need some suggestions
Comments (14)I understand your concern, having just chosen grout for our bathroom tile and wanting as little grout noticeable as possible. There are multiple grays in your tile and each tile is different. One tile looks quite light and another is darker. In your photo it looks like 3 grout choices. I agree with Nancy in Mich and would choose the medium or darker gray but NOT the light gray, which could create too much contrast and stick out and may show dirt and darken sooner....See MoreJosh Whitesides
