Need suggestions for faucets for bathroom sinks
Comments (9)No experience with Danze, I read these forums and along with 28 others daily. Im retired and disabled and enjoy reading, learning and helping folks on the DIY type forums. Thus I have read the same thing as you regarding Danze and this is why I tempered my comments with the "you get what you pay for" adage. But in the end Danze has appeared to be very successful in the American market by offering that high style at a reasonable price and that doesnt happen if their products are all bad. My experience level on faucets is now with Grohe both kitchen and bath and I feel that they are well worth the extra dollars if you indeed intend to stay in your home for a long time. From your original posting you felt that the Geneva sink faucets were $500+ and just by surfing around some of rhe internet sites I found them for at least $100 less. So maybe the best bet is to stick to your original choice but shop for the best deal. Its a very competitive marketplace out there. Good luck and enjoy your new home Terry...See Morestopper on my bathroom sink won't seal
Comments (6)I think we are talking about a sink here? Usually you dont unscrew a sink stopper unless its a push stopper. See the diagram here http://diy.stackexchange.com/questions/15456/in-my-sink-pop-up-stopper-the-tip-of-the-pivot-rod-is-broken-how-do-i-fix-it You have to adjust the pivot rod and make sure the stopper is being grabbed by the rod correctly. You also might need to move the spring clip to get the rod to pull it further closed, you would do that by moving the spring clip further towards the pivot ball....See MoreBathroom sink faucet stem unit replacement
Comments (3)If I were going to guess, I would say that the part of the handle that sticks out 90* unscrews, then that top piece comes out, followed by the flange. Then the hold-down nut will be exposed....See MoreFaucet for a very small bathroom sink ?
Comments (4)Yes, go to qualitybath.com or build.com or even look here on Houzz. Go to Bathroom Sink Faucets. Find the dropdown that gives you lots of choices for limiting your search and start clicking them off. You should find one for the reach of the faucet that will allow you to limit it to the size you need. Your should aim for it to drop the water near the drain in the sink, so get the measurement on how far the drain is from the hole(s) for the faucet off of the Specification Sheet on the sink's website. Plug that range into the search parameters at the faucet website. Add in things like what metal finish you want, number of holes, and so on. There are lots of other bathroom sites that will give you faucets to consider. Allmodern.com (a Wayfair company), eFaucets.com, faucetdirect.com Another option is to go to the Starcraft Custom Builders Faucet Reviews site and start reading. They are very particular about faucets meeting the lead standards and will clearly tell you if a brand does not. You can read their reviews of faucet companies and then decide which you like and go to their sites and see if they have a faucet that will fit. Be aware that a lot of foreign made faucets do not meet our lead standards and should not be sold here in the US, but still are sold. Remember that you will need room for the drain lever between the faucet and the wall if you get one with the little pull-up rod. Also remember to account for the water control lever movement if you have a tight space. A lot of us got the pop-down drains where we just push on the drain stopper to plug the drain and again to open it. No lever needed....See Moreweedmeister
