Hi Depends on what you want naturally but would make some suggestions. If you must keep them in pots go for S,regina even they will get 7 feet tall .Still not big enough?? Then go for S nicholai. about 20 feet. A TP will easily top 30 feet though i suspect it would never fully develop in a pot. Rather than develop the fantastic fan shape on a trunk it would stunt and probably "pup" .I also suspect you will never be able to keep it in a pot.it will break out unless it's reinforced steel lol. IMO the best use for them is in the background of a large area. Grow only one trunk so that the shape is accented. The other members of the family are much better landscape choices unless you have lots of room. gary

Hoarder? No. Enthusiastic collector? Yeah. The difference being that someone that collects things does that for pleasure and enjoyment. And with plant's that is even more true as plants don't just sit around and collect dust. They require an active investment of time and effort. I suppose it could GET TO a point where it would be hoarding, but again, if they were neglected they would just die and become trash taking up space. People who hoard do so for many reasons, not the least of which is they feel some sort of attachment to things. Like they cant live without them. So, even meaningless things like a movie ticket from a film you loved you saw with an old friend 15 years ago becomes in their minds, priceless. Once something in the brain starts to change, and it turns into hoarding, I think there is a point that is reached where it just becomes overwhelming. Too much "stuff" to handle and that is where it spirals out of control. Things can trigger that too. Death of a good friend, loved one, or spouse can cause someone to find something as an emotional surrogate / replacement which leads to hoarding. I think most plant collectors are more just that. Perhaps sometimes the collections get a little out of control, or too much for a person to care for sure, but mainly I don't think its hoarding. Now, if every available space in your living space and / or outside is covered in pots, and all you have is little paths to get from one place to another, well , yeah. Maybe then you have a problem. LOL. I could never personally live like that. The sad thing is, that people do do that, and sometimes they do it with other living things, including animals. There was just a woman caught around here who had 250+ animals in her home. SOmething like 100 cats, 75 rabits, 25 birds...etc. Feces 8" deep on the floor in places,and dead animals found stuck under piles of trash. It was horrific. Some of the animals had to be euthanised, but the majority were able to be cared for and adopted out. There are still some animals left from that house currently being adopted out to forever homes in fact.

bee4mee, check out this website. Carphonewarehouse is apparently one of the biggest cell retailers in the UK. I just have to figure out which phone, which SIM card. I can place my order and pick up my phone(s!) when I get there from the store of my choice, closest to whatever hotel I'm staying. For the price - $21 for a phone with a bit of airtime on it - I might buy two to use as 'walkie talkies' and top off as needed! Most advice says to 'rent' a phone in the States so you have it with you. I knew there had to be equivalent mobile stores like we have here, from Best Buy, Target, heck even my grocery stores sells phones so it had to be possible to buy a go-phone in London. Took me a bit but I found one (several, but carphonewarehouse seems to be the daddy). I'll figure out later if I keep the phones for friends who travel, future Europe trips (buying SIMs as necessary) or just sell 'em on ebay. Anyone have a tutorial on web access through a cell phone? My eyeballs are crossed. My DH has an iphone so I know that we have unlimited 'data' for the $20 or $30/month. I'm getting confused with charges per day, per minute, MB bundles. Thanks all! Yes, but, if Zika is driving your decisions about where to go, you want to try to look forward. In other words, maybe 6 months ago (?) if you were planning, you would have said don't go to Brazil but Florida is ok. WHO also forecasts where it is likely to appear next by analyzing where conditions are favorable for that particular mosquito iirc. That said, one can go a little overboard I suppose. In fact, by some of the maps we should all just evacuate now. : ) Perhaps ask the health care provider who made the stipulation?
