"I would love to know how you do the salmon pie, is it served hot?" Yes, it is served hot. It is a very traditional French Canadian meal. One can of red salmon, one piece of fresh salmon that has been cooked, one large onion sauteed in butter, one med/lg potato lightly mashed. Mix it all together (use the entire can of salmon, don't dump the oil) and put it in a pie plate with a bottom and top crust. Bake at 375 until the crust looks golden brown (about 30 minutes). "Where are you located?" We are in Southern Maine. "Did you have a hot beverage?" I had coffee, but everyone drank wine. The hard liquor was barely touched (except the Baileys, that was popular). Not even one beer was drank. I had cider but everyone seemed happy with the wine. All the people that cancelled due to the storm called. My Godmother and another friend cancelled, they never drive in snow. My elderly cousins same thing. DH's cousin had to plow, so he and his family couldn't make it. My best friend from college and her family couldn't make it. Many of our friends and family have an hour or more drive to get to us, so we understand. All the neighborhood people came, but left the kids home. All in all, it was a good crowd. I took extensive notes and know what I would do different next time. We decided to have it end at 6:00 because it was a work/school night. Most people, except close family left by 5:30. My college friend and her family came for dinner tonight. I used the second ham I didn't need at the party and served Yankee scalloped potatoes and make a cake. We had a great time, they just left.

My mother passed away April 13th 2022. she raised me and my sister, as a single mother. she worked 2 jobs to ptovide for us, but we took her for granted as children. When the mother of my 2 children passed away in 2016, my mother moved in with us. My mother helped raise my daughter(16 now) and my son(15 now) for almost a decade. My mother was more than just my best friend, she was my only friend. i have complex PTSD, and she was the only one that i trusted enough to talk about the war with… she went with me to the VA, when i had to. she gave me strength, she always seemed to understand things that other people either couldnt or didnt want to understand… my dog died about a month before my mother did… 2022 has taken a lot from me and my 2 children… they saw her as a mother, as much as me… i go from feeling numb to feeling deep sadness and loss… i don‘t want to give up, but i always needed her support. she died from cancer, after being on immunotherapy for 2 years… she suffered from many side effects, for most of her treatment. she became so thin near the end that it was painful to see her like that… i was with her until the end, and it may sound strange but i held her for some time after she died and just sobbed onto her… i talk to her still thst she is dead for months, but i still wake up thinking that she is alive… i beli my mother is in heaven, but selfishly i just want my mom back… i miss my only friend… i miss the only selfless person that i ever met… i feel so empty, and i did not think that id feel so lost… she gave me direction when i didnt know what to do… i hope this posts, it does give comfort to know that i am not a

Good to hear that you like it. I'm still using my iPhone 6. It's long out from under contract so I can do as I please. When I bought it, I bought one with 64GB as I wanted to have room for all my music on it. I don't really NEED a new phone but may buy the X at some point. I like my Apple products to be reasonably up to date. I must say that it bothers me when people say "Steve would not have done this". Really? Are they in contact with him in some way? NO ONE has any idea what Steve would or would not have done in the future! He was a very creative guy with an unrivaled gift for marketing. He certainly changed technology for the better by insisting that a product not only work, but also have great design. I'm sure that's one reason why I've always been attracted to Apple products - their great design. But he was a far less than perfect human being, having many serious flaws. The person who would be an enormous lose for Apple is Jony Ive. His design genius is just astounding. Any company that allows itself to be defined by just one person is doomed to eventual failure. Apple has not yet failed - in fact is doing so well as to be the envy of many a company. To do this, they have to be doing something right. Even though I've been an Apple user since 1990, I'm not a "fan boy". Some products have been great, some average. I don't like the new iPad so I bought a reconditioned iPadAir. I already had one but made the mistake of not buying it with more memory. Love my new one - has all the memory I could possibly need!

I have a desktop Windows-based pc, as well as an iPad and iPhone. I can transfer photos from the iPad and iPhone to my computer simply by connecting the iPad and/or iPhone to the computer with a USB cord. Well, to clarify, the end that goes into the iPad and iPhone has a Lightning connector, and the end that connects to the computer has a regular USB connector. Once the device is connected, I get a popup window on my pc saying that a new device has been detected, and asking me what I want to do. I click on the choice to explore files on the device. Then I navigate to the folders with the photos, and do the copy/paste thing (there are several different ways to do that, but you should be familiar with them). I don't do "move" because if anything hiccups (such as a power outage, etc.), I don't want to lose the photos. Once they've been copied to the desired destination, I can delete them from the iPad/iPhone. Easy peasy.
