Two in RI building HFGH 8x10 and 6x8!
Comments (15)Hi again,,,well, We decided to buy a different greenhouse instead of messing with the hfgh,,,I decided it was not going to be big enough. We purchased a 17 x 32 gothic style greenhouse from Griffins. I have had 2 of their models in the past when I had a greenhouse business. I had the 17x48, 2 of them. I don't need one that big, so I went with the smaller one this time. I am going to sell plants on the weekends. I have thousands of seeds started right now in the basement under growlights....See MoreAre you quilting this weekend? Jan. 6-8, 2017
Comments (14)I may get into the sewing room for a bit tomorrow. I'll post a pic of the lap quilt I finished in the nick of time last weekend. I'm still quilting one of the Lotto winnings wall hanging. I know it's been forever since I received the blocks. I decided to stipple, something I've never done, with matching thread color in the blocks, so it is start and stop to change the thread. Freezing cold here also, but drove an hour (in unexpected almost white out conditions) to see the traveling display of the Downtown Abbey clothes. Then had lunch at the Studebaker mansion next door. It was a lovely day....See Morewindow and door header help, please!
Comments (39)Ok, ok, I’ve opened up this can of worms, & received some fairly negative feedback on our plans which has us doubting ourselves. As you can imagine, we’re getting ready to invest a good chunk of change into this and want it to be a well designed plan and is a joy to come home to, not a disappointment. So, now what? Is it possible to hire an architect just for a consult? If so, and we did revise the plans, who would do the blueprints? How do you find a good architect? Can this be done remotely? So many questions. @Holly, I would love to hear how you managed some of these issues, but I don’t see how to pm you....See MoreDoor Height 6’8”, 7” or 8”?
Comments (8)Do you have crown? 8 foot doors on a 9 foot ceiling can have issues with door casing and crown molding. Obviously they need to add up to less than 12 inches but even 10 inches can look crammed. Interior door costs are not bad but exterior ones add up. Exterior doors also don't need to match size with interior - IMO. But that depends on design/style etc. 7 foot doors are a little frustrating because (for us) they cost basically what 8 foot doors did for only 4 extra inches. In my area (and style), 7 foot is less common so more expensive for what you get. It is fair to say that 8 foot doors can have more practical issues than smaller doors. Warpage, alignment etc....See MoreVirgil Carter Fine Art
