Need help with exterior paint colors for ranch style home

Hello! I am looking to paint the exterior of my home. What colors do you think would look best? I am looking to paint the brick with Romabio flat masonry paint in a medium to dark grey or possibly a white. Anyone have any experience with the Romabio masonry paint? If so, what did you think? Just not sure what color to paint the siding. Or should the brick and the siding be the same color? I dont want the house to look for flat than it already does. I am looking to keep the trim and garage door white. The photo that has the snow is a recent photo. The other is older but shows the color of the roof. Please help!

Have you done "test spots" of the gray on the brick yet? If not, I'd start there. You may need to paint the siding a different color, depending on how the Romabio ends up looking. Looks like you have a very light and cool bluish-gray right now. If the brick ends up looking warmer, then I'd suggest a warmer contrasting color for the siding..

Also - once you do the brick, are you looking to change the door colors? Looks like you have two front doors, I'd personally change the color of the main door and paint the second door the same color as either the brick or the siding. I'm sure other folks will chime in about adding landscaping..

I have not done any test spots yet. I want to do an accent color on the main door and have been told before to make the other door blend in so it's not as noticeable. The picture with the snow doesn't show any landscaping but I have the lawn looking great and have planted lilies and hosta in the flower beds that run along the front of the house for some color.

@lazy_gardens: Let's call the current stucco color "Light Gray" - you are saying to paint the garage door itself Light Gray? Would you also paint the wood trim around the garage door Light Gray? @graywings123: We do, too, actually - it's definitely an option. Do you also like keeping the white gutters/trim or do you think they'd look better in a darker gray with brown undertones? Any thoughts on the garage door color? Thanks again!

Agree on shutters, no shutters. If they can't be architecturally correct or at least appear to close and angle properly, no shutters. We do virtual exterior designs and recently did a more classic take on that same style house. We added trim boards and beefed up molding on windows. I know you are leaning modern farmhouse, but thought I would share for fun because house is SO SIMILAR. We also added some brick to bottom of columns and a great stained, wood door. This classic look will never go out of style :). We gave the client two color options.

Thank you all for your help. Yes cat_ky, the house has been ignored for 25-30+ years. I grew up in the house and just took it over -- I look forward to giving it new life. So Color Zen and cat_ky, would you do the entire house in the blue-green/grey combo or would you make the horizontal siding and garage door white (is that considered trim too)? And by minimizing the corbel, should I just paint it whatever the background color is? I definitely am planning on getting rid of the shutters! HU-187528210, I considered painting it all white, but I can't remove the stone and my neighbor next door has an all white house that is much nicer than mine. I am doing the inside in a bright white though! Thank you all again for the valuable feedback.

Love the house, love Spanish style. I’m in So Cal so see a lot of them, but Im not a pro. I will say, dont do black windows or black trim. oh sooooo trendy. Please keep the trim and windows to a brown or even a dark brown. For me personally, I like a warm creamy white (for the exterior).

What color is the siding now? Looks lavender on my phone, which is fighting big time with your orangey brick. If you keep the brick unpainted, don’t use gray on the siding.

I think one-color-for-everything would make your house look flat and short.

And definitely paint the garage door to match the siding.

Do you have 2 front doors? Which one do you want visitors to use?

The siding is currently a light grey. There are 2 front doors. The one closest to the garage is the one that my guests use.
