Desperately need help selecting exterior paint colour scheme
Comments (0)As you can see, the exterior of our house needs repainting. It is happening next week and seeing as though it is an expensive task that I have to live with for a long time, I would appreciate any advice/suggestions on colours. Because I like colorbond ocean blue and I do live at the beach, I was thinking of it for the roof gutters and I would like the house in a light/white colour. The colours I have considered are surfmist, white dune half, and white duck quarter (paint has to be dulux). I have absolutely no idea and I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions on the colours. My house is approx 20 years old with beige window frames, so should they be matched? The front door will be replaced eventually but not this minute. Thank you....See MoreHelp choose trim color for Spanish Style House
Comments (6)Sorry I thought I attached the pic of house. Here it is along with the Avalon DET552 color from the Dunn Edwards site. I know colors look different in the deck and on a computer screen but I'm noticing the color sample (color matched by Sherwin Williams) on the window looks very different and not what I expected. I thought it would look more green than blue and not as bright. Could it be that Sherwin Williams did not color match properly?...See MorePaint color 1920’s Spanish style house
Comments (13)I would not add a third colour to the exterior for the trim. As it is, my eye automatically goes to the trim around the windows (as it contrasts with the wall). If you like the existing attention around the windows keep it the same (to tie in with the roof) however, I would be inclined to consider painting the trim out with the wall colour (which I do like). Keep a pop of colour for the front door....See MoreSpanish Style Home Exterior Paint Color Suggestions
