Does this piece of art work in my room (w/pics)?
Comments (55)I love the first and last stripe! I like the way the line draws your eye up and the last one is simple enough to not compete with the rug or the armoire. the one I picked was tough; there were so many that had your colors in them at Horchow! That one seemed to go more with your rug (which looked red, gold and brown on my monitor!)because it didn't have any green, but in the end I was thinking it had a subtlety that might work. having all of the colors represented is probably your best bet, though- it definitely brings your eye all the way around the room in a nice way. IMHO, you can't make your walls look too tall. Drawing the eye up is almost always a great thing. And I think some height will balance out the weight of the armoire as well. but only you can see how things look in person! clearly you have great taste!...See MoreWhich wall art looks best?
Comments (46)My vote is for the circular painting. Seems you have a lot of rectangular shapes going on. As for color...some people prefer monochromatic and the repetition of favorite colors...grey and beige. Nothing wrong with that and it can be calming. I might suggest introducing other elements like white faux fur pillows, a tray for your coffee table, maybe a touch of shimmer with mercury glass. Have you considered hanging other pieces by your artwork? Stacked round mirrors would help fill up the large wall and add a little pizazz repeating the circle shape of the art. I think you should pull your recliner more to the center of the room and also move the palm plant from the corner to where the woven basket is. This is just from my perspective. Good luck....See MorePlease need your inputs in simplifying this room or changing art works
Comments (3)You have only posted one image, but I would suggest the room would look better with the sofa on one of the long walls, maybe under the picture on the wall with the TV in the corner?? That's not really the best chandelier for this room....See Moredining room art work? help!
Comments (11)I'm shocked by the first post. Not because I don't know the interet is like this but you have a lovely room already and its very inviting. Could you go for something like this in the dining room? I'd add a tall tree to one side -- or maybe frame it with two! As for the entry area, I'd rethink it to be more functional because most people really do need that space to put down stuff or keep stuff. That doesn't mean constant clutter. But it's okay if it's empty and maybe just has an attractive bowl or catchall or tray on one side. Actually Levenger's sells a note "bleacher" where you can leave notes, letters you shouldn't forget to mail or mix in a favorite photo or postcards. https://www.levenger.com/products/note-card-bleachers?variant=42555135787157 I would also want some kind of umbrella holder under the console. I'd put a walking stick in there too but I like to use them. But I wouldn't put flowers or books or candles. (I might go for a great flaslight!) https://www.ebay.com/itm/195840629086?chn=ps&mkevt=1&mkcid=28&srsltid=ASuE1wT9G_7DHE4jqL58TaDePa2o8aNCXVHxJfYglXtvAachZnUY5M80qI8...See MoreRelated Professionals
