We need pics to help.

These are very dark cabinets. The stain is a very dark cherry. Hickory has HUGE amounts of movement (very, very busy...it can have 15 different wood tones in a single floor). That can turn 'country' very quickly. That probably won't pair well with a formal cabinet choice like yours. Be aware that maple turns YELLOW over time. And that can clash with a dark stain such as yours. I always like to pair floors with counter tops. Show us your choice for a counter top. What is the rest of your house like? Is it formal or is it casual? How light or how dark do you want the REST of the home to be? Do you like a dark kitchen? A wood floor with a stain will cause the kitchen to become darker...which is why so many people pair a stark white (blueish white) with such a dark cabinet. And then they will often pair the strong with counter with a strong white floor....simply to offer a kitchen with some light. Please show us some photos as well as some of your inspiration photos. A kitchen has 7 elements that require decisions...a floor is rarely paired with only one element. We'll need to know more about your 5 other choices.

Are you asking for a rug color? Or a tile to adjoin this one? If you are looking for a tile in the living area that can go next to this kitchen tile then post some photos of the spaces. If you have to use tile, I would try to find a solid light taupe that blends with the kitchen tile, but I think a better option would be to use one tile throughout all the spaces, or maybe put a hardwood in the living area.

The bathroom's fully gutted. No walls, flooring or other material yet. That's what we're trying to decide now. I was thinking of going with simple white walls because the space is so small. We've only purchased this vanity and sink (a slightly longer version than the picture), a matching linen tower (the grey wood color) and bathroom hardware in chrome. We've also purchased a simple mirror with LED lighting all around.
