Design Dilemma Flooring

What kind of wood flooring would go well with grey slate tile?

I just bought a rental house that I'm gonna live in a remodel. The house has new nice grey slate tile in the kitchen next to the only living area where I'd like to put wood floors though out the common areas (living room and hall) I just don't know what color or type wood would look good.

Hi Daicey Crossville has a bluestone tile with some nice color choices and finishes. This product is also available in "get planked" for a one of a kind look. So good to see others opting for porcelain tile. First choice for me was hardwood but just not practical with two dogs running around here. Antique southern heart pine I have greenish black cabinets & maple butcher block counters so I think the reverse combination would work equally well. My flooring is 150 years old & original to the house but reclaimed timber can be purchased.

What color/style of floor tiles would go well with this vanity?

The bathroom's fully gutted. No walls, flooring or other material yet. That's what we're trying to decide now. I was thinking of going with simple white walls because the space is so small. We've only purchased this vanity and sink (a slightly longer version than the picture), a matching linen tower (the grey wood color) and bathroom hardware in chrome. We've also purchased a simple mirror with LED lighting all around.
