Arranging my family room has always been a challenge due to a corner fireplace and odd angles and areas. We are planning to buy a new couch/loveseat/chair to update our old furniture so now I'm wondering if there's a better furniture layout. We're open to sectionals, curved sofas or any other seating formats that might work better. For the most part this layout works ok for us. However, I'm thinking of moving our larger TV to the right of the fireplace and moving the accent chair to the left of it. I'm including a diagram of the room. Please note we closed off the doorway next to the fireplace and the room is a sunken room--need to step down one step. Also, we're considering moving the piano to another room and using that area either as a reading nook or a place with a table for my daughter to do homework. I'm sending in some photos of the current situation. Any thoughts to make this room more functional or is this the best set up? Appreciate your thoughts and feedback!
