Which rooms do you like better
Comments (19)Thanks again everyone. cawaps I can change the layout. I will play with it. hu1967910 When it comes to decorating, I tend to stick with a theme. However, a good decorator knows how to make many themes work together at once. I am however, not a professional decorator. suezbell , the living room windows open, but the dining room I have a enclosed patio that the dining room window leads out to the patio. Since there is not much ventilation I prefer the unobscured glass. I have a love hate relationship with my patio. It is heated and air conditioned so it gives me extra space, but it takes light away. If I was building a home I would never add it again....See MoreWhich pulls do you like better?
Comments (23)Thank you for all of your comments . . . I so appreciate your input! I've decided to go with the top knobs pulls. I found a photo online of the the Atlas pulls and while I love a single one very much, on a lot of cabinetry they look a bit heavy. So while I was really on the fence, given that the Atlas are about 50-60% more expensive, and I didn't love the chunky look, I'm going with #1....See MoreWhich countertop do you like better?
Comments (2)there would be many light counters and splash to place here. Just looking at the images of your space the issue that s a little confusing is the classic warm vs cool notes overall. the cabs and floor seem to work as they are in the cool family...however your walls are really a yellow/warm off-white. some of the samples seem too warm w your cabs.....I see maybe a hint of bronze in floor but the floor still reads cool to me. So are you trying for a warmer counter/splash...it seems tricky to get it right in that sense w what looks like cool cabs and floor. This is the compelling case for your "real life" view of the tones and notes in your lighting and why its so hard to advise w this. From what I see I'd pick a really simple cool toned light counter w backsplash options in mind at the same time. A coordinated plan should be thought out...dont forget the splash....See MoreCasing a room opening with white oak. Which do you like better?
Comments (13)I don't care for any of your examples, and I even prefer stained trim over painted. Matching the existing painted trim would be best. If you do insist on doing it, definitely do not go with the wood only across the top. It's putting in a fake beam which isn't supporting anything, so let's pretend? I'm sorry to offend, but that last picture is horrible. Besides being fake, the beam doesn't match the (painted) trim, nor the floor, nor the door....See Morejust_terrilynn
