Delta Victorian or Rohl/Perrin & Rowe faucet?
Comments (21)Dawn, I am a righty. I don't think it would matter with a rectanglesink, you could place them whereever you wanted. We had to place the faucet, control and side spray to the right since there was more room between the sink and the backsplash also tried to minimise that the sink was not centered exactly on the center of the window. So get a piece of plywood - trace your sink profile and cut holes for the faucet etc in it for placement and put it where your sink will be-and set the pieces in it to see if you like it- thats what we did. I love having one control lever instead of two knobs. Also I like not having to twist a faucet handle- now I have arthritis in both thumbs and this is way easier. Something we didn't count on just a year ago! Thanks for the compliment on the kitchen, I am very proud of DH, he did it all with the exception of installing the granite. we bought the cabs. Divamum- my backsplash is painted beadboard and behind the range is tin ceiling tile painted (leftover from a dear friends ceiling!) Sue...See MorePerrin and Rowe Bridge faucet with cross handles

If so, please tell me how much room I need between between the back edge of the sink to the backsplash to have enough room to be able to turn the cross handles. Regardless, the type of water treatment that is available and appropriate for your situation depends entirely upon water chemistry. Let's start with the water report from your local water treatment plant. You should be able to either find it online, or call them and ask. If the report contains adequate information, I can give provide some recommendations. If not, I'll let you know what is missing and how to obtain the necessary water analysis. If hard water is the culprit, a softener will mitigate the spotting problem. However, if your water has really high TDS (total dissolved solids) you will still see spots - they will just be easier to remove. In any case, water analysis is required as a first step....See MoreDoes anyone have the Rohl Country Kitchen Bridge Faucet?
Comments (8)Is there a showroom with one set up? Maybe you could take a plate or pot and play? Unfortunately, not one near me. I think, since your sink will be 10" deep, the faucet would be high enough. The link to the 'more info.', gave a deminsion, but it sounded more like the size of the box it comes in, rather than the faucet reach/size. And, you will have the side spray, so that can come in handy for filling pots and reaching the sink corners for cleaning. I had a separate spray in my condo and yes, they work fine. The spout height is listed as 9 1/4" high. The spout reach is listed as 8 55/65" Its a pretty faucet and I like it better than the second one you pictured. If there is not one on display, somewhere, get some aluminum foil and make a mock up to see how it feels to you. It may not be as lovely, but... Great idea. I'm going to do that. I don't have either one, but I do think the second one looks like the water would spout forth in a better way. That's what I'm thinking. Very pretty but just not functional (IMO). You're chopping up a chicken. How on earth do you turn on the water enough so that you can wash your hands to answer the phone, without spreading salmonella everywhere? I have a prep sink which will have this faucet so can push the lever down. I also always keep hand sanitizer at each sink and use it before turning on the sink faucet to wash my hands. Yes I know, I'm a bit strange. I love having a lever to move with my forearm. (Not what you asked, I'll go away now). (And the first one is beautiful!) I was going to get the old fashioned cross handles, but now that you mention it, I think I'll have to rethink getting levers whether I choose the top one or the bottom one. Actually, I do have one more comment. We have the Kohler Sin on our prep (deepish SS) sink, and it splashes. Fortunately, there is a pull down sprayer, which minimizes this. Being able to use your faucet prior to buying it, is great advice. I'm going to check around to see if anyone has one that can be tried, but I haven't found one. My sister has the single handle Rohl....See MoreAnglophilia
