Wall oven behind pocket door cabinets?
Comments (38)@palimpsest thank you, I actually hadn't considered that before actually. I think I will still keep it the other way because I want the extra pantry storage! I don't mind the ovens on that far wall where they are now - it's a bit far away from the rest of the kitchen and there isn't a great countertop space near them, but aesthetically I don't mind seeing the ovens on that wall because it isn't really visible from the family room. But it is something to consider just flipping the appliances sideways!...See MoreGlass pocket doors
Comments (1)Have a look at Richelieu Hardware. They have many innovative products and might have something that will work for your application. Richelieu Hardware I'm not seeing exactly what I think you are describing but they have a lot of different options for sliding and pivoting doors. Hopefully you'll find something that works....See MoreExterior sliding pocket door vs Panoramic door
Comments (15)I wish I could tell you we are finished building our house but we haven't even started. We still plan on going with the Nano Doors. Our builder has not heard of or worked with La Cantina and we can't get a response from them either so we crossed them off our list. Nano doors are expensive but they completetly make a statement or give you this amazing open feeling. With the amount of money we are spending on building a new house, the price of a Nano wall/door is practically nothing and totally worth the money, to us.. So we decided to have that be the one thing we were not going to compromise on. I'll keeo you updated if you're interested. We are finally through permitting and will break ground in a few weeks....See MorePocket door to swing door question? Leaving the track in the wall?
Comments (10)Peggies you are now on the blacklist - pockets are the "doors du jour" on Houzz. I have removed pockets and left in the frame for clear openings. If it is a steel frame you will need to expose the side to unscrew the track, as your steel studs are mounted integral with it. If the swing door latch is against the pocket frame, I suppose you could get away with just a jamb, but if it's the hinge side you will need 1 or 2 trimmer studs. The swing door will be smaller than the nominal pocket door slab size in any case....See Morekudzu9
