Georgia O'keeffe painted lots of irises. This is a seedling iris that came up at my old place. I forgot to bring a piece of it when I moved.

Mini painting I did of my neighbors big Maple. Sadly, it died soon after and had to be taken down.

Behind those clouds were aliens. The Sun shot killer sun beams... Headless person on the beach... I would have worried had I not known he loved action and science-fiction books from very young.

I was missing the grandkids while visiting Paris, so I took this photo of a painting by Renoir.

Arcy, please let us know if this is your photo or not. If it is not, then please cite the source and credit the photographer. As I've mentioned before, these threads are about photos *we've* taken, not others works or images off the internet.

This is a painting that my sister-in-law's sister did for me. I had sent her a picture of a Martha Washington geranium that I took. She was sick at the time and so I sent her some of my photos of my flowers. Just a couple of months after I sent her the photos, this painting showed up at my house! I was stunned by how beautiful it was and how striking that it looked just like the photo. She has since passed away, so it makes the painting that much more precious to me.

If Arcy's contribution is truly "off the internet" why don't you give the pertinent information, Nicole...rather making a blanket, unsupported accusation. The painting looks like St Patrick's on 5th Avenue, NYC and despite an in-depth search, I can't find it readily on the internet for copying here but I've often seen similar paintings for photographing. Actually, it looks like a Norman Rockwell.

Thank you, tigereye. I was pretty sure it was a Rockwell...and many of his works are available for photographing. Many are still in private collections...and more are becoming so as time and the families desire to sell...moves on. I don't know the immediate history of this particular painting but I think if one is going to make public accusation, one should back it up with fact. That's my sense of fairness.

Lgmd, the owl is lovely, but it appears to be crewelwork, not needlepoint.

blubird….you are right Really, the truth is, I wasn't sure what to call it. Don't really know much about needle work. I just know I love what my sister did.

I found it easily by googling "Lift Up Thine Eyes". It is Norman Rockwell.

The Georgia O'Keefe I posted is my photo of her painting which I took at the NYBG.

I thought perhaps arcy did the same with the Rockwell. If not, then it should not be posted here, or at the very least it should credit the original photographer.

If not, then she should take it down as it's not appropriate for these threads which are for posting our own photos of pics we've taken.
