Living room rug and curtain help
Comments (47)OK, so unfortunately it didn't work out with the herringbone, multicolored patterned rug! I was just about to buy it this morning, then I saw it's sold out. So i've been looking for other rugs but had so much trouble finding something that would look tie in the colors of the furniture and now I dislike the the original one I posted, too vibrant/cheerful How about this one? It has pretty muted colors and it looks like it has colors pulled from the couch and chair. Colors found in this rug include: Cream/Beige/Blue/Brown/Burgundy/Gold/Light Blue/Orangehttps://www.wayfair.com/Astoria-Grand-Nathanson-Cream-Area-Rug-ASTG4314-ASTG4314.html#&gid=null&pid=1 And i'm thinking even though it's set, to go with the one @ravencajun Zone 8b TX mentioned, it's so cute and I like that it's industrial/modern:...See MoreNeed help deciding focal point in 12 x 12 3-entrance living room
Comments (24)I tried out some options, some suggested by you all, and am curious what you think. I would like to keep the Stuart Swan chairs but probably have to let go of the ottoman if I move them to the living room. And then we may do a sofa with upholstered ottoman in the dining room for TV watching. Or a sectional with a left arm chaise (chaise closest to DR entrance, I mean; but that would make the entrance to the room a little less open). Thoughts? Option A, couch at window and chairs under piano window. Imagine a slim table between the chairs, a square coffee table and poufs opposite the chairs. Side table and lamp where pharmacy lamp is. Rug under chair & sofa legs. Bookcase goes. Option B (below): Couch under the piano window. Imagine rug under sofa legs and chair legs, slim table between chairs or C table on left one and a square coffee table with poufs opposite chairs or couch. Matching side tables and lamps on couch ends. Slim pharmacy lamp on left chair (if no side table). Bookcase goes. Out of option A & B - do you like either? Or do you prefer my earlier post with the two chairs like so, let's call it option C:...See Morehelp me decide on how to spruce up the living room with curtains

Comments (15)I love green sofas, that one is fab. If you have your heart set on it, and decide to explore other paint colors, the Farrow & Ball IG account always has great inspiration. I don’t know what the other sides of the room look like, or connecting rooms, so can’t advise for sure what would work. And F & B is pricey, but maybe similar colors could be found in other brands. These aren’t the exact color of your sofa, but I think could still work with it — This one is Setting Plaster, one of my fav F & B colors: This is Jitney: Treron: Hague Blue (notice how the lighting makes it look darker than the one above): Cornforth White: Green with DeNimes: Obviously, the styles of some of these are very different, but again, just color ideas. If you have an IG account, look up hashtags such as ’green velvet couch’ … ’green couch’ … ’green sofa’ … etc. ETA: Cawaps’ second mock-up looks good. A bold and eclectic look that could work....See Morekatinparadise
