Window coverings....sliding glass door and windows??? I need your help
Comments (6)I would look at white plantation shutters for the windows and a Vertiglide on the slider since you use it every day. I would then either add a cornice over the Vertiglide or some drapery side panels. Now if you have young children I am going to change my Vertiglide recommendation to a vertical. I know no one like verticals but if you have sticky little hands, you want to be able to clean the blind easily! When they have grown to the point where you don't have to worry about that anymore, then you can move to a Vertiglide or something else. Here are some links to a blog you may want to look at for ideas. https://dressthatwindow.com/beauty-of-shutters/ https://dressthatwindow.com/i-hate-verticals-what-else-is-there-for-sliding-glass-doors/ https://dressthatwindow.com/drapery-side-panels-complete-the-look/ Not a perfect example but just trying to give you a sample of the combination of shutters, a Vertiglide and a cornice board. You can really dress up the windows on that back wall to look great! Good Luck!...See MoreEntry Door to Match New HaaS Wood Grain Garage Door - ideas?
Comments (8)OP hasn't shown the front door. The pedestrian door to the garage should be painted the siding color to blend into the siding. Having it a different, prominent color will cause confusion to guests and not enhance the house at all. The design of the garage doors does conflict with the design of the house portion we can see....See MoreEntry remodel ideas needed - front door opens right to stairs
Comments (7)Well, sure, there is room to change the staircase. But, that would require adding more tile. You will have to find tile that matches exactly the existing floor tile, and that may be a problem. Tile goes out of style quickly, and you may not find the tile that matches anymore. In which case, you would have to re tile the entire floor. and, you will also need to re carpet the staircase. So, pretty expensive option, although easily done....See MoreNeed Ideas on Decorating Front Door/ Entryway for the Holidays
Comments (9)One suggestion would be a trio of wreaths for your door. The two planters/urns in your first photo look nice. You could add some lights to them. Maybe lights on the two trees flanking the entry. Those battery-powered fairy lights come in handy for wreaths, planters and just about anything else. They're on very flexible thin wire and easy to weave, spiral or arrange any way you like....See MoreAnna (6B/7A in MD)
