Concrete color for patio--advice needed
Comments (0)Hello everyone. I am going to get a colored and stamped concrete patio poured. I am having trouble finding a color that I like. I have had a few contractors show me colors, but most of their samples look too dark or the release color makes the concrete look dirty to me. I would like a light, clean look and was wondering if anyone had suggestions? I am tending towards tan/cream tones rather than gray tones. One guy suggested San Diego Buff color with a buff tan release. I have seen pictures online of this color, but not with the release. Has anyone seen this color combination and can chime in, or do you have any other suggestions for a light color with a clean looking release (Davis or Brickform colors is what I have to choose from so far)? Any advice is appreciated!...See MoreEpoxy coating for outdoor concrete patio?
Comments (2)I'm not sure I'd agree with that. There are a lot of epoxy products specifically intended for exterior concrete applications. And some are even DIY products, including those that have a grit or sand incorporated to provide better traction. Most are highly UV resistant, quite durable and can be colored as desired. https://www.dreamcoatflooring.com/tips-for-choosing-the-right-floor-for-your-patio/ https://www.everlastepoxy.com/outdoor-concrete-flooring-decking https://epoxyss.com/outdoor-epoxy/ Should be a number of businesses offering this product and service if you are anywhere close to a larger metropolitan area....See MoreDIY ideas for edging concrete patio
Comments (3)I agree with Ikloes, create a plan. A landscaper or nursery will best recommend species and placement suited to your soil and lighting. Your stone backround is a really nice feature. You don’t mention size of your patio or adjacent space. Here’s a video of ours. https://youtu.be/yh0ZL-PwsMQ...See MoreConcrete patio resurfacing advice...
