When I think of libraries, I don't think of perfectly matched woods and styles. That's part of the charm and comfort of the library style. LOVE the bar. I was luke warm on it until I saw the blog photo. I think it will work nicely to the left of the settee. I've been trying to find a place for one in my house-- unfortunately, the only place I see one fitting now is in the office. Somehow, that doesn't seem cool.. or wise lol. I just realized with the closer shots that you have the other safavieh rug I was considering when I bought mine. (I didnt see either in person--but I like yours better!)

Oceanna - wow those niches are amazing! Where in the world do you get the molding to go inside of them? That may be an upgrade for the future. But for now we can just paint it LOL. Michelle - I used to have a large painting in the niche but I moved it (I posted it on here and got some feedback that it was too large for the niche). SO I am currently hunting for a good 3D wrought iron sconce or some kind of plaque to put there. Something that comes out a bit, to give it more dimension, since it is a pretty shallow niche. Threedgrad - That finish is pretty! I'm going to Home Depot today to look at the glazes.

I love my first chairs too but it’s such a high room and those worked so perfectly in my formal dining, so that’s why I’m making the trade. I’m open to other ideas besides blue or wicker, i just liked that they both had 36-38 backs (the fun pattern ones are 31). Also, did you say something less modern for stools? Isn’t bottom right the most modern? As you can see I’m not so smart at this haha. I also forgot i like these

Sammy, great idea but I have this thing about glass tables. I just replaced the one we had because I couldn’t live with it. And I wanted to have the banquette built. The new table was bought online about 4 months ago. Can’t return/exchange. However, I think I am getting closer to what may work and I do like the looks of the lights you sent. Def. will look for more of that type.
