Ok, I'm not sure I am reading your diagrams correctly so bear with me if I'm way off base. But it appears to me you are wasting a lot of space with so many paths, and overly narrow paths at that, just to have so many different beds. So my first question would be why so many beds? More beds is not necessarily more productive or more useful than fewer but bigger beds would be. Is the E-W directional placement of the beds what is limiting you? If so, then that isn't any sort of absolute "law". Lots of gardeners use N-S beds quite successfully and they can be easy to compensate for the direction by arranging plantings and crop rotation. And it would appear that in your case using a N-S orientation would allow for a much more effective use of space. 3' or 4' wide beds that could be 12, 14, or even 18 feet long. For example using Version 7 diagram, one 3x14 foot long bed could abutt up to the patio edge on one side and you'd have a 3' path between it and the green tree band on the east. Follow m? 1' wide paths are basically useless for any practical purposes and 2' paths aren't much better. You'll live to regret those narrow spaces. So on the south side, if you feel you MUST run E-w then combine some of those many tiny beds into fewer larger ones OR make 2 N-S beds that are 4'x-24' long with 3 foot wide paths all around. Much less wasted space, more growing space, essentially the same amount of fill required, and I would argue more attractive than having a bunch of tiny little beds crammed together. Make sense? Dave

@cpartist and @suzanne_sl My apologies for my delayed reply...not sure how I missed the notifications of your responses. Thank you so much for taking the time to offer advice! The cabinets have actually already arrived, so we will not be able to switch to all drawers at this point. I think the one thing I have figured out is that I will use all pulls. Currently looking at one that is available in a 3" (overall length is 5.2") and a 128mm (overall length is 7.3".). For simplicity and uniformity I would love to use all one size (leaning towards the larger as I would prefer to have a single pull on the long drawers), however, the cabinets above the microwave are only 14" tall and we also have one set of 36" drawers and another set of 30" drawers and I am concerned that the 128mm may look too large on the above microwave cabinets or too small on the drawers. We also have a 9" spice rack pull out, so the 128mm pull would be pretty tight. Such difficult decisions!!

I think the sectional is just too bulky for the room.. would it be that bad to leave the TV over the fireplace? what are the actual room dimensions? If you hang the tv on the short wall you need to have a way to watch without straining your neck.. what is the width of the room from fireplace (with the hearth) to the wall? option 1 - get rid of the sectional (yes it is comfy but bulky) and put a sofa facing fireplace, get 2 swivel chairs (recliners or not) to either face the tv on short wall or swing around and face the 'people' sitting on the sofa and a narrow ottoman for additional seating.. sketch the room on grid paper with as exact dimensions as you can.. option 2 - leave the TV above the fireplace but i would still replace the sectional with a sofa and chairs so you have more walk through space and the ability to move the chairs if you need to.

The ref box my be 24" deep but it also should have an air gap requirement as well ( many times it is 1-2" ) and that needs to be added to the panel depth. It is also aesthetically pleasing when the countertop dies in to the side of the panel as opposed to sticking out in front of the panel ( counters are 25 1/2 deep ) creating an issue with a corner that the ref door may swing into and dent. First you need to decide how far down the room you want the cabinets to run, then you "fit" all the pieces in place. 3" is fine on each side of the hood. The diagonal corner wall cabinet - I am not a fan especially when it is in a tighter corner. The only reason I did my layout at the size its shown at was because it was on one of your plans... The ref wall definitely should have the extra cabinet between the lazy susan and the ref - it still leaves plenty of space for the "hall" and keeps you from being crowded in the corner. If you must have the dw between the sink and the stove, go ahead - not the best way to do it - but again in a NYC apartment, many "rules" are broken... Hope this helps!
