I thought today's was easier than most, and I also thought it was a mistake at first, and that they wanted me to leave.

I also do at least one cryptogram a day, and I'm getting faster at those also.

If I hadn't read the above comments, I would have thought it a mistake, too. Definitely unique and clever!

Lars, I've never tried a cryptogram, it looks difficult. Maybe later today, after another cup of coffee. . . . .. .

Rusty, if you need help with the cryptogram, you can click in the upper right corner and use the "check" function to see if you are on the right track after making a few guesses. That removes some of the challenge, however.

Uptown Gal, there is an app for Seven Little Words, so you can play as often as you want. There is also one called Seven Words, but it is so easy, it is not as much fun.

I used to do the Cryptoquotes every day in the Galveston Daily News. My brother got me hooked on it and gave me some hints on how to play better. I haven't played in about 30 years. I will check out Lar's link.

I thought it would be harder but it wasn't. I enjoy them and learned about it here so thanks as well. I do it when I get up.

I have gotten hooked on the cryptogram. I'm getting the hang of it after a couple of weeks. It has to help keep the brain sharp.

I like starting my morning with, in this order, the NYT Mini Crossword, no subscription required, 7 Little Words, and Red Herring. THEN I get up and have my coffee!

They did all the same clues a couple of weeks ago also, cannot remember what the clue was then.

I feel like the dumbest person in the world. I never played the seven little word puzzle before and cannot get the blizzard word. I hate that!

You can hit the little light bulb and ask for a hint.

A bud has gotten me hooked on nonograms now. The final images are pretty pixilated, but figuring them out is fun.

Thanks . I didn't know the lightbulb thing. I just had a mental block and I used to be so good at stuff like that. I'll do it every day now.

I don't do them in any order, so usually by the time I get down to just 2, it is more obvious. Also pay close attention to the tense of the words in the clue. The answer will be in the same tense.

I wish I could play more than just one a day.

When I play it on my phone, there are 3 bonus games each day!

I'm pleased to say I got yesterday's in a few minutes. After playing it for the first time the day before and not getting the blizzard one, I felt like a slow five-year-old.

Bfenton, there was one this morning that I didn't know, so at the end, when that was the only one left, I just kept trying different combinations and I got it, but I still am not familiar with that word. It was just a guess that worked.
