A giant pink hotel on the gulf coast near St Pete, called the Don Cesar

A dimly remembered family tale was that my grandfather worked as a chef in a fancy hotel along the gulf coast when he met grandmother who worked there as a waitress. They liked one another, but also knew that he was much older than her. Therefore he lied about his age, saying he was younger than he actually was, and she lied about her age saying she was older than she actually was. But even with their lied-about ages, there was a shocking difference. I also remember being told the hotel was pink, so now in my mind this hotel is where they met.
