Comments (56)Hi golis! Well, alrighty, then. The police were over there all night last night and well into the afternoon. Let me explain how the apts are set up: they are like ranch houses that are connected to each other, sorta like a duplex. The immediate next door neighbors were friendly with the lady--I've seen them going back and forth to each other's place, so that makes the next chapter even more bizarre. We get home about 6PM tonight, and so help me; my hand up, the murdered lady's immediate next door neighbors were having a loud racous party out in the common area, in front of the victims' apt ***WITH*** the police tape still up, the crime scene techs still running around, the coroner's office there, and several officers present. I thought I had completely lost my mind, but I have 2 fully sober witnesses to it, or even **I** wouldn't have believed it, and I'm standing there with my jaw on my chest. O.M.G. WTF is wrong with peeps now days? There's evidence/biohazard bags all over the place, and the kids are playing within several feet of them. A bloody mattress is (was) standing in the patio area, and peeps are eating and playing cards nearby. I am truly stunned. Where is that deserted island????????? (2 local TV channels tried to interview me, but I wouldn't, and we're supposed to go down to the police station and give a statement) (OH--I almost forgot--I was talking to my next door lady, and she was home on Tues, with her windows open, and she told me that she heard **everything**, but thought it was a screaming match between a couple. She didn't call the police, but did get suspicious when she saw the grandson taking out armloads of 'stuff'. She was bawling this morning b/c she told me that she will forever hear the screams and think that if she had called the police, one of them might have lived. Bless her heart--she's a good lady, and I feel so sorry for her--what a thing to live with.)...See MoreRetired Shoe
Comments (40)Thanks again, y'all. Oh, HAZIE. I'd completely forgotten about this torso. BEAUTIFUL. How are you displaying her? Anxious to see your next one. I gathered lots of stuff yesterday at garage/estate sales all over town to add to my mannequin, which I'll be starting soooooooon. I have a "student" coming today. She was lost in my neighborhood and admired my gardens and came to knock on the door and saw the front walk and columns, and left a note on my door sorta pleading for me to sell, tell her where to buy or teach her how to do the column in the front garden. Ahhh, another life is about to be swallowed up into mosaics....See MoreJeopardy - 09 January 2019
Comments (21)Hahaha. The other thing Dave said that I thought was a bit odd was when he said his then-future wife had contacted him a while after they'd first met and asked him if he remembered having taken a photo with her, and he said something like, "and the *only* time I've ever lied to her..." Then he elaborated and said that he'd taken "like 200 photos that night." Yeah, right. If it had been the only time he'd lied to her, he would have simply said something like, "and I said that of course I remembered her" without mentioning how many other people wanted photos with him. I, too, like it better when all three contestants are in it until the end....See MoreWho hasn't watched Jeopardy tonight?
Comments (44)"Plus the card James's daughter made for him seemed to really touch him. I wonder if James had planned to leave? Was the card a "thank you, and goodbye" gesture?" No, James didn't plan to leave, and the card wasn't a "thank you, and goodbye" gesture. They tape 5 episodes in a day, two days a week. Some reports say they tape two days every other week, other reports say they tape two days each week for a set number of weeks before taking a hiatus. Reports consistently say there are a total of 46 taping days each year (for the past 30 years). James was on for 32 games, which would be, at most, 8 taping days (that would work out to be his first show was the 5th show taped on day 2 of that week's taping; then 30 shows over two days the next 3 taping weeks; then the 1st show taped on the first day of taping his final week of taping. I've seen things that say his first taping day was February 5th, and last night's show was taped on March 12th. Alex announced his cancer diagnosis on March 6th, so James gave him the card that his daughter had made less than one week later - on the first day of taping following the announcement....See MoreLindsey_CA
