Calling all GW angels...Backsplash help!!!
Comments (41)SaltLife, happy to answer your questions about Artistic Tile…there is a wide range of prices. From the ones that I priced out, they were anywhere from $20 to over $200 (ouch!) per SF. I love Arpell - it was one of the ones on my “short list” - it was around $100. The waterjet is definitely their higher priced line. Others are much less - for example, the glass Coltrane Treble Gloss mosaic pattern was around $25/SF, and very pretty. We chose a waterjet mosaic (Veneto), but it was (well) under $100 - a splurge for me, but love, love it. I should mention that our designer was passing along her discount of up to 25% on the retail pricing. So, I guess the bottom line is you shouldn’t rule out Artistic Tile because of price - they do have some relatively reasonable options! Also, if you haven’t already looked at New Ravenna, they have beautiful patterns, too. And they have a quick ship line that is less pricey. Good luck!...See MoreCabinet paint and backsplash help to go with white macaubus

Comments (12)I love the Sugar Cookie color - don't think I've seen it before. The floor is a great contrast with the cabinets and just grounds the room. I'm a little confused on the beadboard question. I think more photos which show how the kitchen relates to the adjacent areas, particularly one that shows the bar area, would be helpful. Are you saying you're thinking the beadboard might be blue? In any case, you might do some looking on line for the ceramic beadboard a2gemini mentions. I don't recall seeing it in any of the tile places we went, in other words, it's not something that will be widely carried. As far as the backsplash, I think a color would be a better choice than a white or cream, but what depends a lot on what else is around the kitchen. I'm guessing you have blue walls or blue-feeling rooms, so maybe a blue glass would be a good choice. Hard to say without some pictures taken from farther away....See MoreCrackle subway tile for backsplash?
Comments (8)I have a lighter crackle tile behind the range (walker zanger gramercy park pipe smoke) along with white grout (flexcolor) and wiped spaghetti sauce off it just the other day. No scrubbing, just wiped it off. This picture was just after install - so no outlet covers on yet but you can see it's not real dark....See Moregthigpen
