You'll have shadowy corners with the window under the soffit and It's pretty tight to left of window , w sink butted so near stove and microwave....just stay w a white very simple , subway tile. Don't try to draw attention in any way. Hope there are under cab lights on the long side. It's nice granite...white tile will play it well / And that's enough. Floor mats for fun expression : color and or pattern if you desire.

Well, you have a lot of movement and visual interest in your counter, so ideally you'll be chosing a tile that is one color, possibly in an interesting shape. The tile is either going to be grey or white. If white, the color should match the white in your cabinets. If you go with grey, choose a tile that matches the grey in your counters.

I agree with eam. If you go white, then use a platinum grout.

Your granite reminds me of Bianco Antico. A member here started the arabesque craze that became popular. ( Garden web Beekepperswife's kitchen)

thanks for the suggestions... I was thinkig subway tile... considered a black.. but may keep with just the white... I appreciate the advise.
