Help me pick a color of carpet
Comments (1)Bring all 50 home!!!! Seriously! I had a choice of 3 wood flooring samples...and KNEW without a shadow of a doubt that "A" was the one! I brought it home and it SO clashed with the cabinets! Same thing has happened with the carpet. If the store won't let you bring them home without charging (some do, you know), then go to another store, find what you want and then go back to original store. Finally -- the beighes and maybe a soft green might work!...See MoreNeed help with Kitchen dilemma!!
Comments (4)I'm awful at picking colors, but you may want to ask this question over on Home Decorating forum. There are lots of very talented folks who can suggest many color options. I like chair rails in kitchens and dining areas, so I say keep it if you like it. Also to me if you have a bit of a peachy color cabinets you may want to compliment it with an opposite color, green or gray, but again I'm not good with colors....See MoreDated bannister/what to do with wall dilemma
Comments (8)thank you :) Ohh... I see what you're saying... just the back wall of the stairs in white. I haven't thought of that at all. If we kept the green on the main floor, I was thinking that maybe doing the trim around the stairs in white might help a lot, that and figuring out the bannisters. yes, we thought of putting the wood trim on top like you said. Lol, we call it stub wall in Canada :) That's what the construction guys call it anyway, but I heard the term pony wall, too. I'm scared to paint white because I can't picture it in my head. I love all the white rooms on Pinterest so I assumed it would look nice in our house. But I just did some really bad Photoshop now, and it seems to take away the character of the room. It would need more color now....See MoreGreen carpet dilemma
Comments (7)do you have pictures of the room? what color are the walls? how green are the doors? I'd stick w/whites and bring in some vibrant colors w/art like everdebz has posted. I wouldn't do pastels. I like more of whites with an accent like navy, or yellow, or coral, etc. No pastels. keep everything crisp, clean and bold. one option you can do is buy a remnant piece of carpet, almost as large as your room, and have it bound on the ends. use as an area rug. get it in a lighter, neutral shade. (or buy a very large rug to cover the green carpet. whichever is more cost effective)...See Morehappyleg
