Hi Thanks for the replys. I wasn't thinking of a patch filler. I thought that he could install some type of narrow decorative molding/trim piece to the front of the panels to give me the extra inch. I could have it ordered from the cabinet place, everything else would be able to be installed and the contractor would just come back to install just the two pieces of molding when it comes in. Another option would be to recess the refrigerator in the wall a bit, but I hate to open the wall for just an inch or so. I wanted to avoid this, that is why I paid $1000 more for a CD refrigerator, so I could have the look of a built in. We are already behind schedule by about 3 weeks, waiting for the electrical inspection. (inspector went on vacation for two weeks, and it's a small town, he's only here one day a week). The contractor has been great, but he has an out of town job coming up. He would come back to do everything in a few weeks,but the condo is across the street from the beach and if I don't have everything completed by Memorial Day, there is absolutely no place to park for the workers. That and the fact that I'm in a one bedroom condo, with hugh cabinet boxes, no refrigerator and just a toaster an microwave. I really want to get this done so I can get my appliances delivered, and granite in. Right now there's barely room to walk never mind trying to find somewhere to put a 36" refrigerator. So I'm trying to find a quick workable solution.

Sorry for your home Sarah. This is a long and diffcult process, I know because we just rebuilt our entire first floor due to water and mold damage. Between trying to find a contractor that would do quality work and not ripe us off and getting the insurance to pay, it was quite a trial in patience. My heart is with you! I did put in the wood look tile floors for our whole first floor (kitchen, great room, master and laundry) and I LOVE IT! Really love the paint colors and back splash choices you have made. I think a simpler white counter will get you closer to your inspiration photo. Because you have lots of counter down both sides of your kitchen the pattern can get very busy. Keeping the counters light and simple will solve this and give your kitchen a clean elegant feel. Here is my finished Kitchen: Sorry you can't see more of the floor.

So pewterwood which I was heavily leaning towards today is almost casting a violet hue to it. The sun is out and that hue is scaring me, yikes! I feel like I really don’t have any choice but to go with the darker roof Moire Black. At first I thought I was seeing a little brown as in pewter “wood” but now I am seeing that very slight violet, not sure where that came from all of a sudden been looking at the samples for quite a few days. The color Pewter which may have worked is not offered in the North East. Does anyone feel that I can do the Moire Black on this roof line. Maybe all the dormers help it from being too dominating?? Don’t know if the violet will be noticeable in a photo but I’ve attached it anyway. It’s the top left sample. Just when I thought I had made a decision, so frustrating.
