Why did you choose or not choose geothermal?
Comments (29)No idea david - that is just the way it worked out. The square footage I stated is wrong though. We have a large guest suite with bath and good sized closet in the basement which we are not completely finishing but we did heat and cool it (brought it to sheetrock). We probably have around 8000 square feet including that - maybe more. I don't really count it in square footage because it doesn't feel finished. We also have probably 350 feet of mechanical/storage down there. Upstairs is around 5500 square feet. Our basement is big (same size as the first floor) which is around 2800 square feet, so when you take out the mechanical we are close to 8000 square feet. We have one for the upstairs, one for the master bedroom and part of the basement, one for the downstairs and one for the rest of the basement....See Morevan & suv owners: why did you choose your vehicle?
Comments (2)I have a Chrysler Town & Country that I love! I have only had it a year so I can't address it's long-term reliability, and it is a lease so I'll never know. I just know I am so happy with it. It is my first mini-van and I've had kids for over 10 years. You obviously know how wonderful it is to own a minivan! What I like best are the stow-and-go seats which fold totally flat into the floor. I don't know if this feature is available with the auto button that you mentioned. While the rear seat is a breeze to flip down, the middle seats are kind of bulky to move - with your wrist issues you may want to play with one at the dealership. The ride is nice, the layout is nice. My last car was a Volvo wagon and I like the T&C so much better, plus it cost so much less! That Volvo was very noisy. If I had any complaint about the T&C it would be that the AC is kind of weak, but I guess it has a big job to do. Several of my friends own T&Cs and all of them are very happy with them. When my lease is up I plan to get another one as well. Nicole...See MoreWhy Did You Choose Your Variety?
Comments (24)This past season was the first time I was able to put effort into what I was growing. I'm hooked. The cost of vegetables is getting higher and my trust is getting lower in what is put on the shelf these days. I made some powdered pepper for the first time this year and found it taste way better than what you buy. The first one I made was from the Bolivian Rainbow Chili. First try - it was hot. I sent some to somebody in a seed exchange and she said it was hot but not too hot, Haha! My tongue was wimpy I guess, lol. But now when I get some it's not quite so hot as it was from the first. Now, I get a craving for Pepper. So far I've made some Cayenne, Habanero Orange, Serrano, and the Bolivian powders. Each one a different taste and heat levels. After experiencing that, I now want to have some powdered peppers of each kind. I also made some Mango Habanero sauce (may actually be jelly? it's creamy and thick). I saw a recipe from here and had to treak it a bit due to not having all the ingredients. That stuff is great on sandwiches. No one else seems to touch it after the first try? It's not as hot to me. Maybe my tongue has gotten it's workout. Haha! But other than that, like everyone else has responded... I love roasted and stuffed peppers too. I didn't realize the size of the variety as with all vegetables I've seen. Just pure awesomeness when it comes to eating peppers. The super hots, never had one and I gotta feeling I'm gonna wind up eating one, then kick myself in the arse afterwards, Lol. But I would also like to bottle some up and grind them down just for the extra zing! Goal, big spice rack with all the peppers I've grown. If, of coarse, they are good for drying. I never grew Tomatillo's before, but next year I will be. I noticed there doesn't seem to be many of those out there? Next year is gonna be interesting considering all the different tastes from the variety I'll have. Enjoyment all Year Long!!! Comments (34)There are lots of us with dark soapstone and white cabinets, that still love the combination. Great hint I got from this form was to buy plastic tablecloths from the dollar store in black and white, drape them over my cabinets to mimic white cabinets with a black countertop. When I did that, I could see that the color combination works really well with my dark wood floors. That might help you to decide , and only costs a few dollars....See Moreseagreen3
