Comments (16)Beautiful pictures! Do you all know “Krampus”? I didn’t until I married an Austrian, but he seems to be more well known here lately. I found what must have been the inspiration for him in my garden today....See MoreI'll Show You Mine/You Show Me Yours - Th 9/19
Comments (12)That's a big lens, nicole. The type that causes some serious camera shake unless one is using a tripod! OJ, it's just the angle of the photo that is keeping you from seeing the mountain the eagle is flying over. Of course, the mtn furthest in the background was quite a bit taller than the ones in the foreground which probably makes it look like there is a valley as well. It could be said that there is a series of mtns that graduate in height the further one goes. Of course, the eagle doesn't care; he goes wherever he wants - hill and dale, valley or flatland, rivers and lakes. Wouldn't it be something to be free like an eagle?...See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - M 12/19/22

I posted my best woodpecker photo (taken in Tuscon in 2013) yesterday.
6 years agoPileated Woodpecker taken in April of 2018. In more than 40 years of feeding the birds, this is the only time we saw one at the feeder. He didn't stay long enough for a well focused pic.
6 years agoAlso a pileated woodpecker that landed in the tree in the yard right next to me. I see them around in the neighborhood and certainly hear them as well. This picture is from 2014. Gorgeous birds.

It's -12C this morning, and Roxie just had to do her morning walk-about on the balcony. She loves the snow and cold.
Bud was headed out there as well, until he got right up to the door. Too cold for him.

Him trying out the "new" game console. Computer Scientist nerds are so easy to buy for. That's $90 worth of memory, controllers, and games for Christmas. He says months of entrainment. When he's NOT calling me, this is what he'll be doing.
