From a visit to the Udvar-Hazy Center, an extension of the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. The SR-71 Blackbird And the Concorde I remember that at the end of a trip to Europe as we were flying home through Charles de Gaulle Airport in mid-July of 2000 we took a bus out across the tarmac to board our plane, and the very next plane over was a Concorde. I snapped a picture of it, but I don't seem to have a copy here on my computer, even though I have pictures from the rest of that trip. It was memorable because it was only a week or two later that the Concorde blew up on takeoff from Paris. Since I can't find my mediocre picture of a Concorde sitting on a runway, In lieu of that I'll instead post this one from the very last flight of the Concorde in 2003, which is considered by some to be the very best aviation photograph of all time. https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/concorde-last-flight-photo/index.html
