The SR-71 Blackbird And the Concorde I remember that at the end of a trip to Europe as we were flying home through Charles de Gaulle Airport in mid-July of 2000 we took a bus out across the tarmac to board our plane, and the very next plane over was a Concorde. I snapped a picture of it, but I don't seem to have a copy here on my computer, even though I have pictures from the rest of that trip. It was memorable because it was only a week or two later that the Concorde blew up on takeoff from Paris.
