WANTED: Swap-a-Que - October 19th - swap list #1
Comments (150)Ricky, I have a small red and a small pink Etilator (sp?) that I can divide for you. So far I have you down for those, some broms, and a michelia champaca. I still have american beautyberrys (see GardenPa's thread to see how pretty these are in bloom!), michealia champaca (orange flower) seedlings, miscellaneous hoyas (mostly carnosa or the green sports of KP or KQ), plumerias (see pictures), plumeria pudica, and miscellaneous coleus & perilla (perilla is a great subsitute for coleus for hot sunny areas with little water), Hedychium Sherry Baby (I think I got this from Evelyn last swap? It's now my favorite!), Hedychium Flavum, misc. heliconias, frosty pink brugs, etc. I've posted a link to some pictures below. Does anyone have any cuttings of the following to share? Jasmines, sweet almond verbana (aloysia virgata), Sweet olive (osmanthus fragans), aglaia odorata, bridal veil, fiddlewood, or small fragrant hedychiums? Fragrance is my new thing, lol. Thanks WRF Here is a link that might be useful: Swap Photos...See MoreSS Support - Mon Dec 13th through Sun Dec 19th
Comments (79)OPh my. I go away for a couple of days, and Raeanne and Suzanne start the French Lick party without me! LOL! For everyone's infomation, all 3 of mine are the truths! (JK!!!LMAO!) I guess Suzanne is # 3 Raeanne is # 2 Well, it is a quiet Saturday night here. Rog went to bed early, and I'm watching Flashdance, and thinking OMG--did I ever really wear torn sweatshirts?? (yep.) I think that's why I love to watch old(er) movies--for just a second, I am back to an age where there wasn't any major problems, and I still believed all people were good, and the whole world was open for the taking. :):) OK--advice needed--mom keeps wanting me to come over and watch some 2+ hours, B&W, 1940 movie with who-knows in it (I've never heard of them). At the risk of sounding like a cold-hearted @#!^%, I have NO (none, el zilcho, nada) desire to do this--heck, I don't even have the time to watch what I actually want to watch, much less this thing. Now, I know how important spending time with her and dad is, and I enjoy just sitting around yapping, but our choices of movies are a complete 180. The last time I got coerced into this, I pr@yed to die of boredom, and then fell asleep. It was a truly aweful movie, and part of me resents being guilted into this. We're fixing Christmas dinner for Christmas Eve to take over, before we go to Midnight services, and mom brought up this d@mned movie again. Gawd, I'll watch it, but I'd rather be sh0t--any suggestions? (I really am not being cold, I would just rather sit around and talk--and she knows this.) Anyhoo--hope this finds everone well! When are we going to reveal the truths? Hugs, Maddie PS--Suzanne, I got your package yesterday, but I couldn't get my x-ray glasses to work! Darn piece of cr@p!! LMAO!!...See MoreWeek of Jan 19th
Comments (17)Good Morning All, I'm so sad. I found out yesterday that my favorite SIL has tongue cancer. She is the one who helped us get started with the phone business. We will have test results back this next week so hopefully they removed all of it. Seems as though we're slowing down so others are starting to post. I hope they continue. I need to be able to come here and relax. Anj, That is awesome your DD made the team. We'll have to jump in and help support your early mornings from here. Repear after me I know I can, I know I can.LOL I'm sure you'll get alot of enjoyment being able to watch her excell. Maybe you can try to go to bed early the nights you have to get up earlier. Luvs, I know what you mean by getting rid of clothes. You should take and donate them to charity and write them off on your taxes. Here in MT we can write off $1500 a year. We have Goodwill, Twice But Nice and others. I personally like to donate to the 2nd hand church store. There is 9? area churches that share the profits. The ladies all volunteer their working time. I have a steam machine box that is full of turtle necks from previous years and haven't even looked at them, but I have 20 new ones this year. Not funny! One of my closets has clothes for DS, DD and DG. I told them I would be boxing them up and they could keep 2-3 outfits in there and no more!!! Think that will happen? When the kids was in high school we didn't have any debts so we went to the mall shopping every weekend and to this day they still love to shop. I created shopoholics! DS dresses bette than most women. That closet is going to have more of my Christmas and crafts in it, if I follow through. Yeah Belle, FYI. DH has an industrial Delta scroll saw and has had good luck with it. He also has a Sears that he cuts some with. We have gone through quite a few saws through the years and the Delta has been the longest performer so far. I love to camp. We have a toy hauler and also a cabin so I've camped for years. We always felt it was family time when camping. We would go fishing or ride the 4 wheelers to our friends cabins and visit. Some times we would have pot luck up in the woods in the evenings. It was so nice to not have to hear the phone ringing. We have dish up there and don't even watch it. Just kick back and enjoy once the weather is nice. Have a good book so you can sit by the fire and read, if nothing else. Here's my project that turned out ugly. Maybe I'll find someone who likes it a little and give it to them....See MoreMy Christmas Craft Night!
Comments (3)I hope it’s a great success and you enjoy it. I used to teach that kind of stuff at Michaels, it looks much harder than it is, and it’s something you’ll find useful for other holiday projects too!...See Moreabbisgram
