So timely for this to pop up again. Just yesterday we used the Walmart grocery pick up. I ordered online it was extremely easy, paid by credit card, got my pick up time, I went ahead and installed the Walmart app on my phone but you don't have to. As I was driving there I clicked the app and hit the check in button which it said to do as I was on the way and told them the color of my car. I drove up in the rain and parked in the pick up slot. Immediately the guy came out wheeling a cart with our groceries. He told me which items they made substitutions on and all were fine with me. When they make a substitution you can either accept it or they remove the charge. Any time a substitution is made they give you a higher priced item and do not charge for the difference. I had asked for a special brand of potato buns and they did not have it so they gave me 2 packages of a similar brand. I asked for a jar of Bertolli pasta sauce and they substituted the higher priced organic version of it. He then put all the groceries in the car and told us this is the bread and put it in a safe place etc. First time I think I got home with bread not smashed. In total we were there maybe 10 minutes if that. It was a very good experience and we will do it again. Especially in bad weather it saves us having to unload my scooter and deal with that in the rain. We were both exhausted from working in the house too. I will try the kroger near us next. We went by there to pick up something for my husband and I sat in the car. Their pick up area was right by there. The people waiting had to wait much longer but I don't know if they have the app that lets you tell them you are on the way. I think theirs you pull up and call the number on the sign. So that could be the difference and theirs you pay then with delivery. You can still use your kroger loyalty card and get your discounts. We have senior discount and I load my digital coupons on the card. That is a nice option. I want to try a home deliver one but right now the HEB in our area does not deliver to our zipcode yet. And those charge. There is no charge for the Walmart plus I got a $10 discount for first time.

I glued the Christmas tree down first, then added some Buffalo brand iridescent snow flakes. I covered the lid with gauze and then glued on a pearl trim. I unscrewed the lid and added the pearl with some string to hang the ornament. I have no idea where the snow flakes came from. They were in my craft stock pile so I used them. I can't take credit for this ornament since I found it on Pinterest (there were not instructions though). I have my main craft and my ornament planned, now I just have to plan my menu. I will buy all the chocolate supplies and luckily our cake supply store is having a Customer Appreciation sale on December 4th....just in time.

I make bon bons every year and we have always melted chocolate chips in a double broiler with a small amount of wax. I've never used melting chocolate, not even sure what exactly that is, I'm assuming it is like candy melts?

Hubs has a plastic bin ( no lid) that has his winter work shirts in the back of his clothes closet. I had my son pull it out for me so I could run the clean shirts thru the washer since they've been stored all summer. I pulled the shirst out snd O-M-G. I found Acorns...about 2 cups worth. RODENT ALERT. I have no idea how it got into the closet but we do live in a wooded area. I removed all the hanging clothes and everything else. Son layed plastic on the floor and set a mouse trap. Its probably a field mouse storing food for the winter but I have a news flash for it ...its not living in my house. Than I got to thinking I hope its not a squirrel or chipmunk. This gives me the creeps. I'm sure I'll be seeing little beady eyes looking at me all night tonight. This is probably stupid but do I need to worry about it no matter what kind it is getting into the boys beds while they sleep?? Should I stand guard? I haven't told the boys because I don't want them worrying.
