Single Handle Pullout Kitchen Faucet
Comments (13)mrartsncrafts, If the sink is used as an undermount, does the faucet get installed through that same single hole? When we ordered our sink and faucet, I was adamant that I wanted a single hole sink becuase I didn't want to use the escutcheon plate with the faucet. However, a friend who worked at a plumbing supply distributor ordered the sink and faucet, and he discovered that the sink was not availalbe with 2 holes (I wanted 1 for the faucet and 1 for the soap dispenser), so he ordered one with 4 holes without telling us. If I had been given the choice, I would have done without the soap dispenser if a 1 hole sink was available in the style we chose or choose a completely different sink. However, he never considered that it would make any difference---despite my repeated comments that I did not want to have the escutcheon plate. When it arrived, we needed to get our sink put in---plus we didn't want to make problems for our friend who had been kind enough to help us out---so we resigned ourselves to using the escutcheon plate. We are planning an update to our kitchen, to include an undermount sink, and I am so looking forward to finally having a single hole faucet, with a soap dispenser next to it....See MoreLeaky Elkay single handle kitchen faucet
Comments (1)Yes. My best guess, with out looking on line or physically @ the faucet, is that there is a hot/cold button on the handle. Remove this button & there is a set screw, probably a hex head, that when loosened will allow u 2 remove the handle. U will then be looking a a bonnet (nut)unscrew remove this & u should be able to remove the cartridge. Be sure to turn the water off to ur faucet B 4 doing this. & I would also suggest having the replacement cartridge on hand B 4 u start the job....See MoreLeaky kitchen faucet, Moen single handle pullout
Comments (2)I'm no expert on Moen but that looks abnormal to me.ÃÂ Surely shouldn't be so much rusting. Many Moen faucets have a lifetime warranty to the original owner of the home in which they're installed ... so I suggest contacting them for assistance ... unless you're not the original owner and can't verify the purchase date, etc. My grandmother's Moen kitchen faucet developed some trouble recently, they sent several parts at no charge. The Moen phone rep was highly impressed that we have the original receipt from Dec 1997 so I could quote the store name, price, and even the time-stamp....See MoreKitchen faucet single handle with pull down hot/cold orientation?
Comments (6)I agree it's counter-intuitive. My SIL/BIL have one and it trips me up when I was my hands in their kitchen sink since it's the opposite of how ours goes, but I'm only using it a few times a year, I'm sure they got used to it ages ago! The only time I could see it continuing to maybe stay confusing for you is if you had similar faucets in a bathroom and they worked in reverse with cold in front. (They don't.)...See Moreweedmeister
