mrartsncrafts, If the sink is used as an undermount, does the faucet get installed through that same single hole? When we ordered our sink and faucet, I was adamant that I wanted a single hole sink becuase I didn't want to use the escutcheon plate with the faucet. However, a friend who worked at a plumbing supply distributor ordered the sink and faucet, and he discovered that the sink was not availalbe with 2 holes (I wanted 1 for the faucet and 1 for the soap dispenser), so he ordered one with 4 holes without telling us. If I had been given the choice, I would have done without the soap dispenser if a 1 hole sink was available in the style we chose or choose a completely different sink. However, he never considered that it would make any difference---despite my repeated comments that I did not want to have the escutcheon plate. When it arrived, we needed to get our sink put in---plus we didn't want to make problems for our friend who had been kind enough to help us out---so we resigned ourselves to using the escutcheon plate. We are planning an update to our kitchen, to include an undermount sink, and I am so looking forward to finally having a single hole faucet, with a soap dispenser next to it.

Thank you for the comments and ideas. We already own the faucet and it is installed with the handle to the side. I haven't found the manual yet. We have two drawers with many manuals for things but not that one! My DH said it might be in the safe with the receipt. I'm not sure it's a Moen--it's not the model in my link, at any rate, so I want to find the manual before proceeding further. Thanks for the visuals, Breezygirl and A2gemini. Those help. Fouramblues, thanks for mentioning the hot/cold direction for the handles. I think ours would be opposite of the norm, too, so that's another thing to think about. I thought briefly about a Tapmaster but we already have so much stuff under our sink (RO unit and tank, GD and DW wires & plugs, etc.) that I didn't want to add one more thing. Marcia

Good post. You've done most of the important work -- and described it -- already. There's an obstruction and you're very close to knowing exactly where it is -- at least within eight feet. Let's get closer. I'm betting something's loose either in the faucet-head or in the control guts. This will tell you where to look next. By "pull down faucet", I'm assuming you mean one of those that's connected to flexible line that can be pulled out a bit? Next step should be to disconnect that flex-line from the faucet and see what you've got flowing from it. Easy and takes seconds to accomplish. If I've misunderstood the set-up, please disregard....except for the concept. There is an obstruction and you're very close to isolating and discovering it.

positano - I've had the single handled Treviso installed in the Ticor SS6505(?) (31x18x10) for the last 18 months. My only complaint is the splash factor. I have very strong water pressure so I have to turn down the spray to the low setting to avoid splashing... I have to be very mindful when I turn on the faucet or there is water everywhere. Otherwise we love the faucet, only wish I could have gotten it for $98 I wouldn't mind the splashing then!!!
