We've not enjoyed the show on tv so much in ages, made me think once again how great it'd be to have more entertaining and little less competition, to bring best of Idols and have some extra fun for everyone. No matter, all are winners, except me and especially my daughter, will be listening to Katherine and my younger daughter to Chris (her forever Idol). I think Taylor got the votes for being a friendly country guy -if the show was about congeniality he'd get my votes, he had fun and made us join in the fun, appearing more self-confident- a few years older helps, even if he was at times comical with his dances-we can all use more fun. It reminded us of the times when the "She Bangs" guy was picked as the winner on line, lol. We're fine with the fact Katherine took the 2nd place- it's almost or as grand as the top. Her voice will sing for itself. Wish we didn't have to wait so long for more Idol, GB

Suzie, Fortunately we were west the worst ones. My step Father 60 miles due east got 4 tenths of an inch of rain and some light hail but not enough to do any damage. Many formed along a line that ran just west of him and then moved to the north east. About 20 miles east is where the real severe stuff started and kept rolling through. To the north of us and especially NE they kept popping up and caused some damage. Then a few formed in CO to the west but moved N-NE and didn't enter KS till at least 60 miles north of where I live. I was very fortunate this last week got another nice slow rain. In fact almost everyone around use got a half inch or more. I was talking to friends in Guymon and Boise City and like they said we were so close to the bad stuff several different days and I believe it was Tuesday night when it was straight west of us and had traveled straight east for miles and then veered to the SE and missed us with very heavy rains and large hail. That one in Woodward was terrible. My step Fathers sister lives in Buffalo and he talked to her several times and they had a severe storm move through in the afternoon before the one that hit Woodward and it went on up into KS and formed some tornadoes in KS. That is a common track for them. The Greensburg tornado traveled a similar track. Thanks for your concerns and yes I'm fine and heading out to work on cold frames when the light rain stops. I have some dwarf plants that need potted up into larger pots. Hope you, your family and everyone on this forum manages to escape the bad weather. I have a feeling there is going to be a lot more of it before it calms down. Depending on what the weather does and how I'm sitting with my gardening I hope to make a trip down to the Tulsa area and hopefully the OKC area around April 28th or the weekend after. But if there is the threat of severe weather or I'm tied up here with gardening chores I won't be going. Jay

In the US judicial system the standard is guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt", and *not* beyond a shadow of a doubt. But here too polygraphs are not admissible in court. I don't totally agree with it, but that's the way it is. " If that were true, OJ Simpson would have been convicted of his wifes murder along with her friend. "Beyond a reasonable doubt" means, if you have any doubts that he may be guilty, you have to go with not guilty. And that's how OJ was 'proven' innocent. And why this man was too. Only in OJ's case, there was a ton of proof he murdered two people. I don't know what that jury was thinking. Leather SHRINKS when it gets saturated with liquid. Of course the glove didn't fit! Twelve people missed that? Anyways, back to this case. If I were on the jury, I would have aquitted him too.

DYH, I dont have an opinion on the Apple Watch but hope you don’t mind if I respond to Nini, about my Garmin Watch. Last year, the band on my old Garmin Foreunner 110, which I only used for running, broke. Because of the design, the band is actually part of the watch so I couldn’t just order a new band. I looked online and the replacement was something like $50! What?! The watch was fairly old so didn’t seem worth it to pay $50 for a band at that point. So I called and they said they could replace it for $25 but I still had to send the whole thing in. Before I got around to doing that, dh surprised me with a new one. While not an Apple Watch (I actually get asked that about my Garmin all the time), it does receive text messages and phone calls. I’m sure it does a few other things but that’s all Ive found convenient. I do wear it 90% of the time because I rarely get dressed up and I like all the exercise features. I use it for running but also like to see how many steps I take, how much I’m sleeping, etc. The nice thing about having it synced with my phone is that if my phone is in my purse or elsewhere in the house, etc, I know right away if someone is texting or calling me. If I’m talking with someone, I can discreetly look at my watch to see who it is and make a mental note to call or text later. It definitely doesn’t have all the features of an Apple Watch, and honestly I don’t need that. But if you aren’t keen on replacing yours (I would be annoyed too!), maybe look at the Garmin. Mine is the Forerunner 35.
