bedroom decor help!

need help with my bedroom. I bought a nice light aqua/seafoam green quilt (I'm missing a euro pillow) and art for over the bed. As you can see my furniture is a grey/brown. Are this bed and art too washed out? What kind of drapes can I do? I was thinking sheer white. Lamps? I'm lost! Thanks in advance

Nice room! I think you need either/or both some texture and some soft color. Maybe start by pulling the blue tones out of the painting and use that as your jumping-off point. your lamps maybe a light-colored beachy glass color

I really don't like art above a bed. I would rather see it opposite or beside the bed if possible. You only show pictures of 2 wall could you show the others. To go with the beach theme look for things in the blue/green sea glass colors. Muted, calming.

Hi Shanee, I suggest getting different pillows shams for the row second-to-back, and also the first one. Something in a more saturated green/blue would compliment the seafoam color well. White sheers sounds nice for the windows! It will help soften the space. How about some lamps with clear bases? This one from West Elm would feel light in the space. Good luck!

I personally would hang either one large photo or two photos above the bed (2/3 the width of the bed frame). I would also hang curtains on either side of the window to make it more cozy. I bought a big fluffy white comforter for our bed because it reminded me of a sheek hotel. Then it’s easy to add pillows or a throw blanket to add color and/or textures. I would turn that corner with the chair into a cozy little corner. Maybe add a floor lamp to hang over the chair and add a tiny little table next to it to set your coffee or book. Its hard to tell what color/style your dressers are but I would get your nightstands in different colors than the dressers so it’s not so matchy. Maybe mirrored, navy or a dark gray nightstands.

Hello, I ordered the bed online and it’s much darker than what it seemed like on the pics. I ordered white nightstands and dresser. Curtins will be whitw as well. Lamps are same colors I am so bummed not sure do I return the bed and get a different kind or try to make it work? I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

I like the room and the piece of art over the dresser. Could it be lowered a little bit? Perhaps a basket or something a little larger could be put at the other end of the dresser. I'd leave the rest of the wall blank.

Let's add some floor to ceiling drapery to those windows!

I would suggest going with a light neutral and bold dark, hardware. This way it will accentuate the height of your room, and pull your eye UP!
