Does anyone have elegant beaded ornament cover instructions?
Comments (4)Welcome back! Here is a site that I linked below which has instruction for a victorian one. http://members.tripod.com/~Beadme/Ornament.htm The next site only has pictures of ones that come from different books but no free directions that I could find. http://www.arhyonel.com/ornaments.htm Here is a link that might be useful: Ornament Cover...See MoreA particularly special holiday craft?
Comments (59)Hhireno, I think you can still make it. over the weekend, I took out my DIY wreath from last year, but even more ornaments broke off from the cap. I don’t have glue suitable for the job, so here is what I did. I took out the ornaments that were intact and used the last few unused ones I had in the same color way. I took an old plastic supermarket cake plate and a long shoelace in a similar color. I made holes along the edges of the round cake plate, like a few inches apart. I strung a few ornaments on the shoelace and looped the shoelace through a hole on the plate, add more ornaments, loop through another hole and repeat until you complete the circle. You can use as small a plate as you like, I guess. Here is my rigged-up wreath. Not as pretty as the one using the wire hanger, but much more workable, as the shoelace is obviously better suited for stringing....See MoreAre you making any Christmas gifts this year?
Comments (42)I was just thinking of kitchen gifts. I am doing some sewing for a couple of gifts -- a phone wallet as a gift card/cash holder, a tech bag, possibly a couple of other bags. I think I'm going to make a new lanyard for my son's work ID. He had a school specific one before, but had a pretty plain one when I saw it yesterday. And I will probably be making a couple pair of PJ pants -- special fabric and extra length. Allison, I have ordered from Bouqs also. I have sent some gifts and got a couple here, including the ranunculus. I really enjoyed those and they lasted longer than I expected. I have not made full use of the other discounts though....See MoreMy hands hurt ….
Comments (60)Jinx your work is amazing. I also use Penetrex. However, I first put it on, then Voltaran cream. I actually got the 2% cream in South America years ago and now my doctor gives me the generic perscription. It is stronger and cheaper than over the counter Voltaran. Then I wrap my hands in hot moist towels and to keep it hot I wrap that in a heating pad. Half hour later I can move my hands again with out much pain. If you can get someone to massage your hands with the Penetrex you might find great relief, I do....See MoreJilly
