A recent horse show had a costume class. This entry was by far the cutest.

Dorothy, Glenda the good witch, The wicked witch of the west, and Toto in a wicker basket. Toto is a 2 year old, fully grown dwarf mini-horse and was about 24" at the shoulder.

Lgmd, you will be happy to know those plants thrive on a bit of neglect and actually grow fairly slowly. So it’s the perfect house plant for people like us who don’t want to fuss with a lot of care. I can and so grow a lot of things outside, but these are my favorite indoor plant and all I have with the exception of one small jade plant. Its bright pink but all I have access to on my phone at the moment.

Evacuation Plan. I saw this on the wall of a very small train station somewhere between La Plata, Missouri and Albuquerque, New Mexico when I exited the train to stretch my legs (and use a real bathroom) during a 15 minute stop. I assume posting the plan is a requirement at all Amtrak stations, but this little place (whose name I unfortunately have forgotten) hardly needs one, as you can see. They have a nice "Ladie's" Room though.

Well my fridge could use some cleaning, but today is not the day. How about clean up hubby's curio cabinet. Stuff waiting to be dusted and put back in.

Edited to add...I should explain. These pics from nearly 5 years ago. This chore in only done at 4 or 5 year intervals. The curio cabinet is quite air tight and little to no dust gets in there. When we take everything out, it takes 3 or 4 days to dust it and get the cabinet cleaned and ready for it all to go back in. Why oh why do we collect stuff like this!!

Before we had a generator, the best thing about having the power go out was eating all the ice cream in the freezer before it melted. Can't let perfectly good ice cream go to waste!

DH made rolled, stuffed pork tenderloin with roasted beets, parsnips, carrots, asparagus and sweet potatoes. The greens the bowl are sauteed beet greens.

Marie_cate, that dinner looks like fine dining restaurant fare!!

I'm eating my chicken and wild rice leftovers so not much else to get rid of.

My picture is a cute centerpiece that my friend made for Halloween.

roy4me ... were I a blackbird, baked in a pie, I imagine my beak'd be pretty far open, too!

OklaMoni ... wind-pushed flagpole seems to be continuing to be vertical.

DawnInCal ... may I come over? And, after eating all of that ice cream - is that "waste" ... or "waist"?

glenda ... if you live in a second-storey or higher apartment, wouldn't be much help to suggest you, with about 3 or 4 friends, should have bought a generator, would it?
