What BM color to paint the entrance/sitting room?
Comments (2)Oh rats, I wrote to you last night and must not have hit submit! First of all, I like everything you've done so far. I like your Durango Dust wall that you can see looking toward sitting and foyer area. It's a solid, grounded, sort of tailored color that makes the gentle yellow beyond it now look a bit wimpy. I don't have specific color suggestions for you, but given the DD, you might want to consider colors that are often used in Craftsman style homes, or maybe other southwest colors, in colors and values/intensity that can stand up to the DD. Maybe an orangey or deep gold yellow if you want to look toward a lighter, warmer space; or maybe a terracotta if you want to go for a more saturated, intense feel (the red could tie in to your granite, maybe?), or maybe a natural stone beige (think khaki pants with a little more oomph) if you like a more neutral feel. You are doing great--have fun!...See MoreRoom Ideas sitting / office
Comments (9)Hello. You have a very busy floor and I would suggest solid colored surfaces you add. I like the idea of a drafting desk rather than the natural pattern I have seen in live edge wood. Also, if the reclaimed wood doors are similar in color to your floors, it think it would be overload....See MoreFurniture color for dark blue sitting room?
Comments (19)Have you always liked gray? Gray would be nice but since's been the trendy neutral for a while now it will be on it's way out soon. If you've always liked gray or don't think you'll tire of it then that's an option. I'm only mentioned this because you don't want to look at your gray couch in a few years and think how much you can't stand it. Many people with brown couches probably did this. :) You could use white but my pick would be cognac/camel. I think just about anything looks good with blue though. I'd go through some photos and find some inspiration pics you like, get a plan together, and go from there....See MorePaint color advice for dining/sitting room with curved archway?
Comments (4)I don’t think continuing the Sea Pearl would be boring. I would keep both rooms the same color though whatever you choose. A fun idea would be to do the Sea Pearl but paint the dining room ceiling the dark color for a little drama and intimate feel to the room, and then bring in the dark color in with accessories/pillows to the office/sitting room to tie it together....See MoreSabrina Alfin Interiors
